Games that let me feel like I was part of a story similar to the books I was reading as I grew up were a huge part of my early influences. My 9 games #My9Games my9games.net/en/share/4b7...

We had a great time last night at @thebeths.bsky.social concert last night in Nelson. Liz was kind enough to pose for a pic with us and sign something for my daughter.

I met the neighbours and their kids while out on a walk tonight.

I took my daughter to see the Goonies for the 40th anniversary release yesterday. She's almost exactly the same age I was when I first saw it.

We had a tired visitor to our back yard this afternoon after torrential rains for the last day. We think it's just resting, but it didn't seem bothered by me getting somewhat close. #bird

We were moving to NZ during Fringe's original run, so we only finished the first two seasons when it originally aired. We fixed that over the last six weeks by re-watching the ones we vaguely remembered and finishing the series last night. What a ride! We're really going to miss it.

Box art for Fringe, the complete series. Peter Bishop, Olivia Dunham and Walter Bishop are in the foreground, apparently underground, with mysterious figures (spoilers) behind and above them.

We have been blessed with a visit from a New Year's baby hedgehog. Now you have been blessed, too.

Went for a hike this morning and passed this flock of native NZ birds on the way up the mountain.

My daughter is getting her ears pierced for the first time. She's being very brave, but I'm not allowed in the room and am a mess.

@ass.golf Did you mean suit or suite in panel one in the last comic before your break? Also, it's great you're taking a month (mostly) off, also also, ahhhh!

Back home in Nelson after a week in Melbourne for PAX Aus. We had a great time, but now I get to go through the time zone readjustment where I'll be exhausted the rest of the week.
