What’s especially baffling with all the indiscriminate firing of federal scientists is that Silicon Valley logic dictates that you have to keep people on payroll if only to keep them away from your competitors. You think China isn’t preparing a bunch of lucrative offers in quantum/medicine/etc.?

Data storage is cheap these days, so I agree that it’s better to save all #NMR scans and average by hand later. Seems like you could take this a step further and perform PCA on the everything-averaged spectrum and use that as prior information for further denoising in the individual spectra
