Yeah. I'm generally not a doomer for hate cards. But this one is particularly brutal for Fang. It's not just "Ooh, this can mess up a turn real bad". It's "You caught me with too many 2 blocks, I lose the game." And that feels pretty awful.

010

Black Wing Studio (Mara Faris) @blackwingstudio.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Problem is Fang is a hero that literally can't block with his whole hand or he loses his stack anyway. Also, as both a Fang and Vynnset player, I'm *much* more afraid of this than exorcism.

Black Wing Studio (Mara Faris) @blackwingstudio.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

I think fang would have to be on their radar now to be able to write about him though. 😭

I'm so excited for Malice. I've been begging for a new, aggressive ally hero since Dromai. As a Fang/Vynnset player... I didn't realize it would cost me everything. 😭

Black Wing Studio (Mara Faris) @blackwingstudio.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

I'm not complaining about six copies of one of the best effects in our deck. Redundancy is great. Plus I do think being able to sac allies to set up more corpses is relevant too.

Black Wing Studio (Mara Faris) @blackwingstudio.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Hit a couple tough spots in the Calling, but got to shuffle up my favorite hero to a 6-2 finish in the Showdown on Dromai. Plus, I got to watch two friends take home trophies this weekend, and it just makes me hungry for more. God I love this game.

Fai. But before the end of the tournament you *must* resolve the card Tooth and Claw for all three modes at least once.

Black Wing Studio (Mara Faris) @blackwingstudio.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Ok, but when they tell me "You're playing too many reds, and the PT winning Malice deck doesn't actually play any of the zombies" I'm gonna be sad.

010

Black Wing Studio (Mara Faris) @blackwingstudio.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

SCOTTTT. I'm trying so hard not to get over-hyped for Malice. I already got burned by Zyggy. Couldn't you have spoiled like... a less exciting card? Just for me?

Black Wing Studio (Mara Faris) @blackwingstudio.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Fang has maybe the hardest minigame in FaB, but also the biggest payoff. Online Fang is one of the most powerful decks in FaB. It makes the line for balancing that hero between awful and completely broken razor thin. I'd wager that we'll see Fang dominate at least one meta before he LLs.

I'm afraid of using my power on the larger, more stinky site so if anyone here knows an editor that is interested in editing a video for Hungry On Plane on a pretty tight timeline let me know. You will ofc be compensated! Thank you MTG friends your recommendations are as always very welcome.

So this Ouvia reminds me of a moment that meant the world to me. A little convergence of so many pieces that make me love the people in this game like a Family. Its far away from my most expensive marvel. But it might be the one that means the most to me. I love this game. 8/8

Then this turned up at my doorstep, slabbed, and signed by James. The only gap in my collection of Marvel Dragons. The one I'd given away. A gift from my community, from James, and a memento to remind me of why I do what I do. 7/x

Very few things in my career make me prouder than getting to be a part of that. I love our community so much, and RxPL is one of it's crowning jewels. So I was pretty excited when I got told I'd placed well enough to get an extra little prize. I had no idea what to expect. 6/x

Black Wing Studio (Mara Faris) @blackwingstudio.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

Months and months pass. I never forgot that moment, but never replaced that one Ouvia. I was never really playing three at the time anyway, so I just left the hole in my collection. Then comes the first Rainbow Pitch league. 5/x

Black Wing Studio (Mara Faris) @blackwingstudio.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

I give her hers back, and pull out one of my Marvel Ouvia from my collection and sign that instead, so she'd have something special. We say our goodbyes, and I go back to finishing off my games for the day with a new drive to do my best, for the people I get to inspire. 4/x

160

Black Wing Studio (Mara Faris) @blackwingstudio.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

I ask which one's her favorite and she says Ouvia. That's my favorite dragon too. So she just presents a regular, rare version from her deck and I just really wanna do something nice for her. 3/x

There's a couple sitting at the far end of the table, and the woman seems nervous. It turns out she was a huge fan of mine and was afraid to approach to say hello. So we chat, and she's wonderful. She asks if I'd sign one of her dragons. 2/x
