When systems refuse to deliver justice, people don’t just keep asking. They apply pressure. Be ungovernable is not chaos. It is the refusal to accept delay, dismissal, or “wait your turn” while harm is happening right now. Civil disobedience has always been part of how change happens.

If we want people to believe in political power, we can't only show up during election season asking for something. We have to build with people before they ever see a ballot. Listen. Organize. Act. Win. Then vote as another tool for building power.

Let’s talk about something more people should be asking: Why is ICE collecting voter records? Newly released documents show ICE obtained tens of millions of voter records and investigated hundreds of organizations involved in voter registration.

ICE  probed hundreds of voter registration groups across the U.S.
The agency also contemplated deploying undercover agents to "initiate prosecutions" against the groups and "dismantle" them.

What can Selma teach us about sustaining a movement? The fight for voting rights wasn't sustained by strategy alone. Shared values, purpose, courage, and faith helped people stay in the work through fear, sacrifice, and setbacks. What keeps us in the fight today?
