I will never understand what makes a character popular or unpopular. I feel like Fuji Kiseki is just absolutely lethal levels of sapphic catnip, but I never hear anyone talk about her????

There is incredible work coming out right now in the YA horror space and I want to give a shout out to Old Wounds by Logan-Ashley Kisner. "A trans girl and a trans boy get trapped in a small community that is looking for a female sacrifice for a monster" is a hell of a premise and it delivers!

And here's my character's TBR for the month!

Went to a taco truck for the first time today! (YES I KNOW, I KNOW I am a failure of a Californian) This was incredibly good and a *huge* amount of food; I think I'm going to get three or four meals out of this one birria plate?!

Me trying to fit all the stuff from this plate on a table in my partner's room with my portable HEPA fan. Visible is a takeout container with rice, refried beans with cheese on it, and birria with a plastic fork and spoon. There's also some sort of beef broth in a little cup, chopped onion and cilantro in a cup, and foil containing two slices of limes, radishes, carrots, and jalapenos. It also came with three different kinds of salsa and some freshly made tortillas.

I finished Fuji Kiseki's career for the first time last night. My partner asked how I felt about it and I told her I needed to update my list, and she was really amused when I proceeded to produce an actual list for her. 🙈

Then we have the most important tier, "Be my bestie forever" which has Agnes Digital, Gold Ship, Hishi Amazon, Gold City, Taiki Shuttle, Vodka, Daiwa Scarlet, and Grass Wonder. The next tier is "Daughter" and it has Rice Shower, Haru Urara, and Kawakami Princess. The final tier is "Not sure but I am deeply fond of you" which has TM Opera O, Zenno Rob Roy, Yaeno Muteki, Oguri Cap, Orfevre, Dream Journey, and Stay Gold.

Oh my GOD do I try. This is the best close-up of the polish I managed to pull off and it's still a little blurry. Speaking of my one-year anniversary, what great timing for these two to arrive! 🤍🖤 Hilariously Mom also has a package out for delivery, so when this arrived she opened it without looking at the label. XD She was SO apologetic and even taped it back up for me so I could experience opening it myself!

I knew by the end of the tutorial that Big Walk was GOTY material.

Tonight, I decided in my heart, "I am going to change my plans and pull for Halloween Digitan instead of Machan" and the game heard this and went "hell yeah, absolutely."

7/28: Pink Lovebat from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab

My hand held up in front of a white rosebush. Overall I'm impressed with this formula. Since they said it was sheer, I did two layers of a white base and two layers of polish. It would have been pretty good with just one layer of base. I'll buy more polish from them in the future!
