Herein lies the problem, you are reinforcing a pretense that the violence & violent rhetoric are equally distributed and accepted. By this logic, a klansman getting attacked for burning a cross on a family’s lawn would be just as lamentable as the years of racial violence that group perpetrated.

But I have deliberately not described the targets of these attacks with their party affiliation or ideology. Backgrounds and beliefs vary, but they all share humanity, and the right to live in this country, worship, vote and argue for their beliefs without fearing for their lives.

The vapidity is staggering. I used to recite the opening to this Dobyns poem to my youngest to get them to slow their mind down a bit. Some of these ppl need it playing in their earbuds nonstop.
