Trump cut staffing at the VA, and now Dallas vets are waiting months for care. Surgeries are being delayed. Vets are being left without mental health care. I’ve called for an investigation—because if you claim to support veterans, act like it.

It’s always going to be amazing how a significant portion of the US population were more willing to suffer through the tantrums of a senior citizen with a narcissistic personality as opposed to electing one of the most qualified politicians to the presidency. All because she was black and a woman.

One thing that people in the US should NOT fall victim to is developing a hopeless outlook on what’s happening right now. The actions of this administration need to be attached to the Republican Party. With next year being a midterm year, people have an opportunity to make a statement.

The current US Supreme Court is proof that elections have consequences. The 6-3 extreme right majority is now basically an extension of the current Trump administration. This is because not enough people took voting outside of presidential elections seriously.

What is happening in this country is and will always be the result of white nationalism. Some white people are willing to burn their own homes down if it means that others will be homeless. I want to make sure that it is also understood that this is the GOP at work.

Yes, the urge to cower in fear is strong but don’t. Cowards who want to appear powerful use fear as a weapon against those they seek to control. Remember that every dictator never acted alone. They were just the face of an ideology that put the pursuit of power over the needs of people.

Legacy media, both print and broadcast have become enemies of the American people and are now tools for the corporate elites to manipulate the narrative. Authenticity has all but disappeared from modern day journalism.

It must be understood that information is the currency of change. Access to information is a form of wealth and the ability to use information in ways which improve your life or material conditions is a form of empowerment. The ability to control or manipulate information and its access 1/4

Please understand that this Tik Tok ban is about control of the media narratives. Facebook and Twitter/X have long been vehicles for misinformation and propaganda. Tik Tok’s algorithm allowed for a much different engagement process. Plus information was shared quicker than the others. 1/2

The immigration conversation in the US has been a go to for decades. Yet, very few people acknowledge how absurd it is. Even fewer acknowledge that immigration in the USA is directly linked to global capitalism and US foreign policies. And of course there is the rampant xenophobia.

So, did MAGA really believe that solving immigration was as simple as mass deportation? Especially since Trump has used immigrant labor for decades at his properties? Of course adding in the fact that his biggest benefactor this election was an immigrant from South Africa should’ve been a clue.

The incoming administration is arguably the most unqualified and incompetent administration we have seen in decades. Ironically, mainstream media spent for more time attempting to question the legitimacy of VP Harris’s policies than being critical of the former president.

One thing that is clear is that controversy and division are two strong factors in our political and social systems. Add in the manufacturing of an uninformed populace via an under supplied education system and you have the perfect recipe for a country that is too dependent on ignorance to survive.

What does a group of privileged white male politicians know about oppression? Republicans pushed a bill firing all workers in offices related to DEI - because according to them, diversity oppresses white men. I gave a vocabulary lesson on the meaning of oppression. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCwO...

I’m not surprised by Morning Joe and their decision to meet with president elect Trump. It should be noted that “integrity” doesn’t lead to ratings anymore, sensationalism does. I have had very little respect for Scarborough over time anyway, I have always seen him as a disgruntled Republican.

Some people are talking about the difference in education levels and voter preferences. For years it has been evident that the right has used education as a wedge between Americans. The more educated people are the less likely (in most cases) they are to be willing to vote for fascism.

Before the internet became a thing my World Wide Web was books. The greatest gift my parents gave to me was nurturing my love for reading. It truly saddens me to see the attacks on books and intellectual freedom. A society that bans books and the pursuit of knowledge can never be “free”.
