At the Game UX Summit it Belgium this week: our Presentation Director, Jess Butler, sharing insights and wisdom from her team's work on THE LONG DARK and BLACKFROST, around our approach to UI and UX. Lots of great info and some never-before-seen BLACKFROST artwork too!

Just doing some #blackfrost weekend review. Checking out some mixed forest (Deciduous + Coniferous) and looking at LODs. (Caveats: Dev build. Dev HUD)

A screenshot from a developer build of BLACKFROST, the sequel to THE LONG DARK. Shows a forest of mixed trees and bushes, sticks on the ground, and a mountain in the distance.

Apart from the Art Book, most of the KS rewards for TLD have shipped a long time ago. If you are missing something you feel you should have, please email info@hinterland.com. It may have become lost in shipping!

A piece of early BLACKFROST concept art from the dev team, showcasing some visual exploration on what a first-person wolf encounter might look like. Enjoy! #blackfrost #thelongdark #gamedev #survival

A piece of concept art showing an angry wolf baring its fangs at a Survivor. We see this from first-person view. The Survivor's hands are visible. A knife in the right hand, which is bloody and bandaged. The left hand is covered with a damaged woollen mitten. There are three wolves approaching. It looks very cold.
