I'm watching an old Spyro the Dragon playthrough for nostalgia reasons. And I can't play bc my migraine condition hates me 🙂 THIS GUY DIED TWICE IN THE FIRST BOSS LEVEL! TOASTY IS NOT A HARD BOSS! It takes less than ten minutes and Sparx will still be yellow. Gods, give me sanity... 😭💀

So, yesterday evening, I was in a flare in bed, bestie was making food, cats were in their line of sight. We both heard 3 knocks on a door. I thought it was bestie. They thought it was me and called "Yeah?" No reply. They came out of the kitchen and saw nobody. Trust us to get haunted together 😂

My dad fixed my kitchen door last night when dropping me off home. My kitchen door that hasn't been able to close since before we moved in and he fixed it with a bent bed slat, a hand saw, an axe, screws, a latch plate, and a drill. AT 12AM. I was so happy, I almost cried. I can bake w/o my cats!

Okay. So I managed to find a way to use up the frozen veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots for those interested) and the stir fry sauce pouches I had, using them, some rice, and a yellow bell pepper. I created myself 2 problems. 1: I love it. 2: I'm out of sauce and veggies 😭

My carpal tunnel issues have been flaring a lot in the past two days. My solution is to get my micropore tape and a bit of a cooling patch and tape the patch to my wrist, and now I can use my thumb again! I'd have had ibuprofen, but I haven't eaten yet 🫠 Label bc I know how it looks at first glance

I just realised, a lot of people likely have a romantic association with Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship and my memories of it are my sister and me as teenagers, bellowing along to it, goofy as hell, and "dancing" (flailing). Despite our adult bond being rocky, it's still our go-to song.

Tiny win today, I have a sign language app and I've been learning basic signs. I've got 18/18 on the first two modules, and just in the last hour, I've learned 37 new signs. It feels amazing to learn, I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed intentional learning 🥰

So lemme get this right. Sleep helps my nerves, migraines, and temper management. Heat, migraines, and nerves all prevent sleep even when my insomnia isn't flaring. Am I missing something or am I actually supposed to just magic up rest or recovery?

The past three years have been hard, living with an immense amount of grief and pain, and I got him at the height of it. I shouldn't be trusted to person. I've bought black semi-permanent hair dye that I am simply itching to use and it's only partially because I have more white hair than my natural colour coming through now. The other parts are purple is work to maintain and I miss having black hair.

Raymond keeps licking my arms and gently touching his nose to mine. I'm pretty sure that's because he got to play with his cousin today and got to cuddle his new best friend (my bestie/his aunt), but I'll take it 😂🩷 he's a total sweetheart, he's done really well, I'm proud of him. He's a good cat.

Damn near fainted twice making this, but it worked out and I now have two days' worth of leftovers! For a recipe I made up while ordering my groceries, this turned out pretty well :D

I woke up this morning in a puddle. I'm not incontinent. Would it be a surprise if I was? No. Still not the case. My hot water bottle finally called it quits and started leaking while I was sleeping. I had to find my hair dryer and dry my bed with it. I'm still cold and sad, but at least I'm dry.
