My stuff we’ll packaged and protected but obivously parcels always suffer abuse during transport. And I’m still so, so, so sour about the lastest one (yes that big blue sea dragon). Prices are similar, even a bit cheaper for the Anycubic ABS-like. Yep, I think I’ll try it next time

Been considering switching to Anycubic’s ABS-like Resin 2.0 as opposed to my usual Elegoo’s plant based resin. I’m not sure the plant based aspect really makes a difference to the environment and I’m still sour at how many of the figures I sent these past 2 years have broken during shipping

I didn’t do half of the art I wanted to do… I wanted to also work on a chibi for the other dragon commission and start 2 gifts for friends, guess that’ll have to wait a bit more… I also have my mini diorama of Take ready to be painted but that can wait week evenings after work, a bit here and there

Back to working on Keden tomorrow! I want to work on the chest and belly plates, and scales on the legs and tail. Over the weekend I’d like to have a 1st draft of the wings done too, hopefully. Can’t believe my week off is almost over, I spent too much time working on those stupid walls for repairs😭

I keep hearing great things about Nomad! From what I can find, it seems to pose in Nomad you have to do manually like here? www.youtube.com/shorts/ElgzX... I tend to pose my dragons' limbs like that too, manually rather than by bones. I did that for the Okami horse, sheep and yak too :D

Yeah I just find it easier in the end :D When I first started 3D sculpting I used to join everything and the automatic weight paint was always wrong, and because my sculpts have so many vertices fixing the weight paint manually never worked well... and Blender would just crash too often🫣

The only thing I don't 'rig' are the heads, I prefer to rotate and move them manually instead. And sometimes, for dragons with long body or some tails I use a curve modifier instead of bones/skeleton if that makes sense? One of my friends IRL prefers to sculpt directly in the final pose instead

Oh yes, because my sculpts are high poly, I keep all parts separate. I add a skeleton (bones in Blender) for each part, like one for the neck with the body, one for each leg, on for the tail, etc. It allows me to pose everything separately without Blender crashing and it's easier to fix any error

Wasted so much resin over it 😭And then obviously the ornaments that go around the bottle didn't fit well so I have to try and pad them with black felts. It works as long as no one pays too much attention to details 🫣

Also there's really no white dust on either my model or turntable, this is the camera again playing tricks on me with the light reflecting on tiny little spots. I swear the phone updates are degrading my camera on purpose to try and get me to buy a new thing, like it did for a coworker. As if!

I still have to work on those walls to wash them off of the paint remover residues, but I can’t bend. My partner is back to work today, not that he helped with preparing those walls for the plasterer coming in a week. Still need to sand all 4 walls too but I physically can’t do it with my back

It’s only 11am… Woke up at 7am to a massive splitting headache that won’t go away. Injured my back from yesterday’s work on that spare room, I can’t bend or turn without crying. Wanted to take photos of my model, Oki fell: one leg broken Milliput need to dry and repaint tomorrow. What’s next?😢

Haha I can’t wait to get them! The one from Fangamer says it’d ship this year on their website but my pre-order email says June 2027 I’m so confused, might email them to ask about it. I don’t have space to hang them for now but I’ll find a way to use them for sure 🥰

I’ll post photos and a video of the final figures and base tomorrow, but everything is now finished! I love how Oki’s wolf form truly has 3 main colours and not 2, something even official products get wrong ha! Oki truly is my favourite game character, both in design and in personality/story arc!
