A quote from a WIP poem using frog and toad symbolism to cover the trans erasure happening in the US (the piece could also work for other minorities) "Where we bite, they rely on their tongues to catch their prey, making it hard to trust what they say"

Any advice on writing poetry with animal symbolism? I'm trying to write a piece on bigotry (inspired by the situation in the US with trans erasure) where I'm using frogs to refer to the minority/trans community and toads as the bigots/US (government) 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵

#art #oc #worldbuilding Starting a new project for the world I’m building, now I’m seeing how different characters interact with each other and the world. These are the first elemental beings ;p

Just downloaded this colouring book ‘Atelier by Jo’ and immediately had to try a page on Procreate. Somehow I finished this in one go which hasn’t happened in a while, but I had fun so ✌️

*pssssst* Hey You know that one project? That one you've wanted to write FOREVER except it's scary as hell & maybe you don't feel good enough or brave enough or strong enough? Spend 15 min on it today Keep the dream alive Even a pot on the back burner needs to occasionally be stirred

Some old anime boy drawings. I still genuinely enjoy looking at these two which says a lot 😝

A drawing of My Hero Academia character Shinsou Hitoshi. He is depicted in a square from the neck up with only half is face visible. His hair is messy and points in all directions, his ears are red-tipped, his eyes look tired with grey lines under them and he has a bandage on his forehead and a plaster on his chin. The drawing is made with coloured pencil in a sketchy style on white paper. Around the drawing is a wide blue border with colourful paint splatter.

Haikyuu character Tendou Satori from the chest up, with his arms spread out as if going for a hug. He's smiling with his eyes and mouth closed and wearing a hoodie. The drawing is shown in black and grey and drawn in a sketchy style. Above the figure 'Tendou Satori' is written in handwriting.

Hey everyone, I'm finally moving on from the bird app so I'll slowly be posting my art and poems on here. Starting with some older ones such as this ;p

The image depicts an anime style drawing of a man with short hair, from the shoulders up, looking to the right. He has bandages on his shoulder and neck. It is drawn with white chalk on a black background

Please, if you are able, support Independent bookshops. They are the literary & social hubs of our high streets and communities. Without their continued support, we simply wouldn't be around to publish . Thank you.
