Please make sure you get "enhanced" mamograms. I had one in early June. It found my cancer so early it was a zero on the 1-4 scale! I had a short outpatient surgery a week later. I'm now cancer free taking one hormone blocker pill daily. Doc says chances of it returning are negligible.

I don't trust the USPS with the regime in power right now. My ballot will go in a Dropbox in front of the police station less than a mile from my house. I'll get a text when I put it in, when it's taken out, when it arrives and when my vote has been counted. Much safer & easy peasy!

My mechanics are a small Mexican family that have been in business for over 100 years. Wonderful people! Honest & 100% trustworthy. They often throw in a few extra services at no charge. They keep my 14 yo car running smoothly. Now my whole family goes there!

The water scooper planes they sent when we had those awful destructive fires in Altadena and the Palisades were vital.Fly low over the Pacific, scoop up water, drop water on fires over and over again until it got too dark to see. I retired after 43 years of teaching and never begged. It makes people feel good to help, but it's counterproductive. Pressure needs to be put on school boards to eliminate the expensive retreats and 3 hour lunches and support the teachers and students.

The reality is that residents taxes should pay for needs and not teachers. Do office workers pay for paper, copiers, staplers? No. No one goes into teaching for the $. We do it for the love of our students & shouldn't be punished financially for that. It seems we're never going to agree. Bye.

I taught in a very poor small inner city school district. Kids often came to school in the freezing winter temps/snow/ice with torn sneakers and no coat. Didn't beg. Went to thrift stores and bought them clothes from my own $. Also gave every thing my own children outgrew to my students.

My parents gave me a wonderful upbringing in a very diverse environment. My best friend was a black girl who lived across the street. At the big "you're ruining your life" confrontation I let them know exactly why they were disowning me. They didn't like that I was sleeping with a black man. Too bad
