I added a couple ice cubes and quickly skinned my butternut squash and crumpled it in with my hands (if it’s cooked right the skin will be easy to peel/ rip off) now let’s stir everything together

It’s been stewing for about an hour and 30 min , I did a medium high heat. Carrots are tender asf I can smash them with a little force, same with the broccoli stem. Let that cool until it’s not hot anymore, if you want It to cool faster you can add a couple ice cubes

Remember to save your broccoli stem to use in your soup base! Chop all these ingredients up and throw em in a big pot with some butter until you see the the onions turn soft and kinda brown, add your preferred seasonings

Get that oven preheated to bout 450 and stick your brocolli and butternut squash in for 15-20 min, we just wanna roast them so that yummy roasty flavor is imparted in our soup later on
