LETTERS FROM THE LAST APOTHECARY is coming Summer 2026! 💌 Eternally grateful to be debuting with the lovely people at Hay House. Somehow, I now get to share my gaslamp fantasy with a side of romance with the world. Thank you 💖

publisher’s marketplace screenshot with character art. LETTERS FROM THE LAST APOTHECARY. Imprint: Hay House. Bita Behzadi's LETTERS FROM THE LAST APOTHECARY, a romantic light fantasy that follows a willful, aspiring mage as she works with the local, uptight apothecarist to save his shop amid a wave of growing anti-magic sentiment, unaware they have already fallen in love exchanging anonymous letters, pitched as for fans of DIVINE RIVALS and EMILY WILDE, to Allison Janice at Hay House, in a two-book deal, for publication in summer 2026 and 2027, by Allegra Martschenko at BookEnds (world).

If you’re looking for a free way to support an author, did you know you can ask your library to stock a book you want to read that they don’t have yet? And usually it’s a very basic online form? Google your library name plus the words “request a title” or “suggest a title” to find yours.

aufidius reid first male victim of misogyny, bita behzadi first female victim of misandry. believe it.

bita | بیتا @bitabehz.bsky.social · 20/11/2024

the mmc of apoth is a little divisive as a love interest which is a shame because i gave him my two worst qualities (cumbersome name and acts like his suffering is unique and singular) so when you hate on him it’s kind of like misogyny to me personally

There are currently only 22 films streaming on Netflix made before 1980 and not a single one made before 1960, with the oldest film on the platform currently being PSYCHO. I know I’m a broken record but: buy physical media, support your local library, etc etc
