Obvious troll account.

Very strange that going to a much larger weapon would be easier.

Also who and how do you expect to open Hormuz? If US continuous coverage from the air and an extensive bombing campaign can't do it, do you expect the EU and gulf countries to mount an amphibious invasion? It's just not happening. The IRGC will think they've won if the US leaves it like that.

The Iranian airforce and navy was not very important to their defense strategy tbh. They were already fully committed to the IRGC way of missiles and proxies, and they will just continue to do that if the US doesn't do regime change, which apparently they're not planning on. So permanent war it is.

Maybe destroying ballistic missile stocks and manifacturing is a win from the perspective of defending Israel, since a missile salvo war is the main thing threatening their existence. But if the US just leaves now, how long will Iran take to rebuild that missile capability? Not that long I think.

This can be true and the war can still be not won. I don't think it's unwinnable, but for the operation to be worth it to the US you need regime change, or at least be able to open Hormuz. And It doesn't look like the way the operation has been planned is conducive to that being achieved.

Even if it is something like a sidewinder, that's considerably cheaper than 1 mill. And ruso-shaheds are over 50k each.

There was no option to vote for abolishing ICE. But there was an option to vote for not killing hundreds of thousands and worsening the material conditions of the entire globe.

Not even 1% of drugs that come into the US come from Venezuela, the administration may or may not care about drugs, but the Venezuela situation is definitely not about drugs.

Russia only conscripted people to the front early in the war, for a good while now they're only using volunteers (ok there might be some coercing but theoretically). Ultimately if you're helping an invading army in an unjustified war and you're not defecting you deserve to get killed.

How is Russia going to provide weapons while it's fighting in Ukraine? It's not like they have spare production capacity.

I mean, they're not really comparable, if JD Vance randomly tweeted specific nuke threats it would rightfully be taken very seriously, because he actually has significant power in the US admin. Medvedev is a powerless clown that just riles up the more insane Z crowd and makes some westerners afraid.
020
birutis.bsky.social @birutis.bsky.social · 22/06/2025
No, if he spoke for the Kremlin his statements would be the official position of the Kremlin, or they would have some relation to their actions. None of the insane shit he says is ever backed up by actions or even Kremlin officials.
120
birutis.bsky.social @birutis.bsky.social · 22/06/2025
Medvedev does not speak for the Kremlin lol, he's just a propaganda tool for them. He routinely says deranged inflammatory stuff to a ridiculous degree, and he's allowed to precisely because the Kremlin knows he's not actually taken seriously. Also the drunk stuff is a Medvedev specific meme.

Maybe that's the case for you. For the original poster, that is an insane culture warrior, a liberal is most likely everyone that is against his political agenda but who he doesn't consider a communist. Ironically he makes his own audience less reality based and deranged by spreading this bullshit.

I'm also an engineer, I brought up academia precisely because the first thing I thought about when I read that liberals are not "data obsessed" and don't live in reality is not at all representative of my experiences during my studies.
010
birutis.bsky.social @birutis.bsky.social · 13/06/2025
I legitimately don't know what you mean with your second point, do you really believe philosophy faculties stopped teaching Plato? Regardless, your point is irrelevant to the most data obsessed people (STEM people, particularly in the academic context) being majority liberal (or at least not right).
000
birutis.bsky.social @birutis.bsky.social · 13/06/2025
It's a big jump to hypothesize that this is a problem, to accuse your political enemies generally of being delusional. I mean, it's a made up issue with no sources in the first place but the post is particularly stupid considering academia (famously data and fact obsessed) is largely liberal.

Communism in this view was an arm of international jewry, not the head, so not the main enemy.
100
birutis.bsky.social @birutis.bsky.social · 30/04/2025
That's not true, Judaism was. Of course Nazis were strongly anti communist, but they toned down this rhetoric a lot from 39 to 41 and as I said, it's a fact that Stalin did not know that war with germany was coming in the general timeframe that it did, and therefore the red army wasn't prepared.
220
birutis.bsky.social @birutis.bsky.social · 30/04/2025
Stalin knew that the USSR had to industrialise and modernize its army to survive generally, but he didn't know that Germany would invade, which made the war much harder than it should have. Stalin's actions don't make much sense if his priority was defending from the nazis.

You can't compare chinese and US military spending directly, both because of ppp and because both countries choose to include different items inside or outside that category.

While it's true that China's economic success has lifted much of it's population from poverty, China's economic policy intentionally keeps wages and consumer spending low for macroeconomic reasons, which makes the average chinese less wealthy than in comparably rich countries.

birutis.bsky.social @birutis.bsky.social · 21/04/2025
Stalin deported hundreds of thousands of jews to labor camps in siberia before the start of the war. The USSR under stalin was not less anti semitic than the US.

Many more of them died proportionately, and anyway I don't think that's what he meant. You only said Russians, the USSR was multinational so it's an important correction.
110
birutis.bsky.social @birutis.bsky.social · 20/04/2025
Just start talking with average Ukrainians man, or look at what the Russians say in their own channels. Your perspective is completely blinded by being so US brained that you can't understand the actual reasons for why people fight, both Russians and Ukrainians.
010
birutis.bsky.social @birutis.bsky.social · 20/04/2025
Lmao at calling mobilization as something the nazis did for their Volstrum, every single country has done this in big conventional wars (including Russia for this one, and the soviet union during ww2). They also do represent the people, fighting the war is immensely popular in Ukraine.
000
birutis.bsky.social @birutis.bsky.social · 19/04/2025
It doesn't matter why the US sends aid to Ukraine to make the point that if they do it, it's the right thing to do. If you are saying that the US is the cause of the conflict as you alluded to earlier, then you are wrong because you don't know the history and are too US brained.
010
birutis.bsky.social @birutis.bsky.social · 19/04/2025
You don't understand it because you are terminally US brained and haven't bothered to look into the actual history of the conflict.
