I can't believe we're going back to this kind of discourse but: Using references isn't cheating Using 3D mannequins and photo references is STANDARD, even for professional artists Shaming people and pushing them to draw exclusively from memory is harmful and can set back people who are learning

I am once again begging the average person to understand this is christofascism. Every single man leading the payment providers that are pushing for this are christians who believe they have a mandate under the current government to reshape the world. To ignore this is to invite further censorship.

Kickstarter officially banning adult content now. Knew this was coming, but it still sucks to have yet another part of the internet that I've been explicitly evicted from. Digital gentrification is exhausting.

Screenshot of Kickstarter's new rules against mature content, in which everything pornographic is banned. It's a long document that's formatted in a way that I can't copy and paste all the text that's in it, but the first is that all point and anything sexual is now banned.

This part of the document outlines how even self censoring your own work will not work, because even the implication of sex is too much. Even in prose works.

This document is confusing because it says that erotic comics ARE allowed... you just can't show sex acts or genitals or try to arouse people. Also you can make sex toys, just so long as they're not for sexual gratification.

This is how Kickstarter's email began:

"Hello,
Kickstarter has always been a home for bold, boundary-pushing creative work, including mature content projects like romance novels, nude art books, and provocative comics. Creators working in this space are a valued part of our community, and that hasn’t changed." And yet it definitely has changed.

did my first blender render for art fight :-3 this lovely lady belongs to krisse0n ! [ #artfight #artfight2025 #artfightfossils #birg.art ]

a side view of a 3d low poly model based on someone's oc from art fight, frost! it shows her from the waist up. her hair is a pale blue, slicked back and curling into small spikes at the end. something black frames her face, i'm not quite sure what it is :-p. she has pointed ears. her skin is pale, flushed with light light blues. she has a thick white fluff around the shoulders of her coat. her coat is a dark maroon. she's placed against a dark orange background. she's lit by a soft orange in front of her, and a darker blue behind her. i did not make her any arms (oh well!)

somewhere is a universe where we were happy [ #dndoc #dndart #ocart #ocsky #birg.art ]

a sketch with dark red lineart against a white background of my two dnd ocs. one is a stocky dwarven lady with long curls of hair. the other is a siren man, with fin-like ears, scales, and hair that floats like water. they're both sitting. the dwarven lady hugs him tight. he's nuzzled into her hair, and there's dialogue in speech bubbles beside them, from him, that reads, "hi, love. it's okay, love." there's a few hearts drawn next to them. my art signature is also visible, reading "birgosaurus" in a curly stylised font.

still think abt this isat comic i never finished . the joke was that siffrin does Not want to be little spoon but they r shy. uhm happy he/they fella and big trans gay month [ #isat #instarsandtime #isatfanart #isatisabeau #isatsiffrin ]

a line work comic. siffrin pauses before saying, "hmm. it seems we have a problem, isa. a huge one, even." the first panel is a long shot that shows siffrin sitting at the edge of the bed. isabeau lays beside them, arms folded behind his head. he takes up majority of the bed space. isabeau says, "yeah, siff? what's up?" siffrin's dialogue continues with, "well, we're..." - he trails off, mumbling "cuddling" quietly, as implied by the way it's written smaller in the dialogue box, and then continues, - "for the first time. so we don't know who's the big spoon, and who's the little spoon." it's accompanied by a panel of siffrin, a midshot showing their bashful expression. isabeau responds, "ohh! well that's easy! im the big spoon, im the big guy!" he chuckles a little, another midshot panel showing his big starstruck eyes and smile.
