Can aging tissues “forget” how to repair - or is repair actively blocked? Using a human stem-cell-derived RPE aging model, we show that repair competence persists in aged cells and can be reactivated by transient senolytic treatment. We term this “senolytic priming.” www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

Senescence targeting re-enables injury-responsive repair in a human RPE aging model
Aging is associated with progressive tissue dysfunction and impaired repair after injury. In the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE), these changes contribute to age-related macular degeneration (AMD), y...

Delighted that our work on positional memory is now published. We asked how axolotl cells 'know' which part of the limb to regenerate after injury. www.nature.com/articles/s41... A joy to work with super team Sarah Plattner, Yuka Sugiura, Francisco Falcon and Elly Tanaka. 🧵1/14
