Ah so you're not laughing at those but you're fine Labour tried to push hundreds of thousands of disable people into poverty to "fix the economy" you clearly don't understand how an economy works.

Stupidest statement of all time when used in political debate

Go and speak to charities, organizations about Labour governments push last year. 14 years of Tory attacks, thousands of excess deaths and in Labours first year they went after the vulnerable. If you can laugh about it I know all I need to know about you

About time, it's just something that should be banned from Reforms £9m to Labours £4m from Quadrature Capital.

Yeah it's peak centre left to lie about "illegal immigration" attack the disabled and kick people out of the PLP for wanting to lift children out of poverty, to take £4 million from hedge funds

You can't be centre left your whole life as the Overton window has moved so far right in the past 40 years, if you consider yourself "centre left" now you are not centre left. The quotation marks were in the original response for a reason.

birdswing.bsky.social @birdswing.bsky.social · 29/11/2025
And it's equally amazing how those on the "centre left" hate the left more than they hate the right wingers.

The budget seems chaotic because Labour are likely briefing the press, like they did with their racist immigration plans, like they did with their brutal cuts on disability etc

Probably Tommy Robinson next. They can discuss and have a laugh about their continuing demonisation of asylum seekers.

Sad? Labour fell about 40 years

Labour weren't elected in 2024 as democratic socialists

No, but they do like to use people to get a headline

They've been dragged kicking & screaming to this position and I'm sure there will be huge caveats and other vulnerable groups in the firing line if they do remove it. Labours position was it's immoral to Starmer saying he's keeping it to prove he can make tough decisions, just performative cruelty.

Hahaha keep on lying, the only reason the Tories formed a government was because the Liberal Democrats decided they were going into coalition with them. All the damage and pain cause is 100% on them.
000
birdswing.bsky.social @birdswing.bsky.social · 31/10/2025
Lib dems waved through all Cameron Osbourne cuts. They even bragged about getting their 5p plastic bag charge through and all they conceded was more severe benefits sanctions. And remember the Tories only formed a government because the lib dems backed them.

birdswing.bsky.social @birdswing.bsky.social · 30/10/2025
The Tories, Lib Dems already killed thousands through the coalition years, the Tories killed many during COVID "let the bodies pile high" and Labour are doing a fine job continuing the cruelty.

Given all the lies during the original referendum people were unable to make an informed choice but you seem happy enough with people carrying on with the insanity

Yes the EU has frictionless trade, my point was that if the UK went for regulatory alignment then the UK would still rightly be subject to border checks.
110
birdswing.bsky.social @birdswing.bsky.social · 22/10/2025
but rejoining is popular and has polled as popular for years now, your argument is at the GE only 3 parties were fighting for it and it got 12/7.2% of the vote. Can I ask do you believe can act on anythign at all outwith what was in their manifesto?
110
birdswing.bsky.social @birdswing.bsky.social · 22/10/2025
Progressive vote? I see the Greens and the SNP on there and then 4 establishment/RW/right leaning parties
040
birdswing.bsky.social @birdswing.bsky.social · 22/10/2025
by your own logic Labour shouldn't be able to enact any policy. We also know Brexit polls horrifically and the public want to rejoin, so he is ignoring the publics position on this. And people wonder why Labour are polling so poorly.
100
birdswing.bsky.social @birdswing.bsky.social · 22/10/2025
You've kind of missed the point, you said why should a government do something that was backed by only 12% of the vote (7.2% of the electorate) advising us that it was unpopular and shouldn't be considered. While supporting a government who only got 34% of the vote (18% of the electorate)

He has taken ownership of the policy exactly as he took ownership of the 2 child cap. The man is a fool and an immoral one at that
110
birdswing.bsky.social @birdswing.bsky.social · 22/10/2025
Regularly alignment does not lead to frictionless trade as there are requirements to actually prove that the regulations are met. It could possibly lead to less friction but never frictionless.
110
birdswing.bsky.social @birdswing.bsky.social · 22/10/2025
I will do once you explain why a party that only received 18% of the total available vote has a 170 seat majority and claims to have a massive mandate

I struggle to believe anyone can still use the "this is not what I expect from a labour government" line now. People advised you who they were before the GE, for me they acted exactly as expected. Stop being delusional

A manifesto isn't a legal document, they used the WASPI women for years only to drop them as soon as they got into power. You can either be angry that they used people or you can support liars, it's up to you I guess

No but in this instance the person Blair met is one who reportedly met and trapped important figures in business in politics. So it is a little different and yes Johnson meeting Lebedev was a national story, Tories ignored investigations as are Labour now
