Direct communication is key. It can be really mentally/emotionally taxing, it can take time and effort. It’s always going to be “easier” to stay home and toy by myself. But I would like to keep practicing sharing experiences with others and eventually have it more built into my routine.

Generally I haven’t had any hookup experiences that I personally found to be truly uncomfortable or “bad.” Other people also want to have fun fulfilling sex, and even when you’re a mismatch, nobody really wants to hurt you.

Sometimes it’s really fun, sometimes it’s kind of mid and awkward. Despite having found some success, despite my sometimes high libido, and despite knowing that I am capable of pursuing what I want, my level of confidence and comfort fluctuates, as does my relationship with my sexuality.
