One more thought on Ollie Millroy situ ... Whilst the poor guy has multiple broken bones etc, one thing glaringly missing (thank god!!) from his injuries list are any kind of burns, which when you consider the fireball, is reason to give thanks for the current standard in fire proof clothing

and then dragged Millroy out of the burning wreckage to safety, risking his own safety to do so. The man is a hero and Millroy has said he is only alive because of Loek's actions. Ollie is thankfully recovering in hospital though does have severe concussion & a number of broken bones

There was a lot of motor racing this weekend so it's easy to have missed what happend in a GT race in Shanghai. A multi car accident left Ollie Millroy in a burning car with no safety marshall nearby. Loek Hartog stopped his own car, grabbed a fire extinguisher to try and douse some flames ...

This reminds me of a reason the R&A need to avoid all pressure to take the Open back to Turnberry. Aside from logistical issues, there are obv a million optics reasons, 1 of which = it being so bad for the champtionship to be held at a club owned by a known cheat & constant breaker of said rules
