Another good moth from St Mellion last night is this Mocha - confirmed by Leon as the first modern record for Cornwall (there's an old VCH record from Looe in 1890). #teammoth

Another #moth that could not resist the Orange Wall. Every time one gets flighty during my Vogue Moth photo shoots, they land there. Hawthorn Leaf-miner this one. Bloody miniscule. #teammoth #norfolkmoths

Transferred my Pale Tussock caterpillars to a more comfortable abode this morn. C.50 and all seem to be doing well. Don't worry, I added lots of leaves for their brunch. Cherry Plum still their preference. Hawthorn in second place. #teammoth

Moth of the night in St Mellion was an Eastern Bordered Straw (Heliothis nubigera), a rare visitor from North Africa. This was my first since May 2006, which was a very similar month for migrants as the current month (hopefully bodes well for the rest of the year!). #teammoth
