While Shou is amazing, don't sleep on Lockheed. This is about building Bishop, Horde, and WBN while hitting the other side with flames (from Faltine or Lockheed). Spread out your Torres and Lockheed so you can have affliction in two lanes. I like using Nico’s doubling spell in the Torres lane.

Overall, these decks struggle with verticality vs all the Destroy in the meta and don’t run tech. This new archetype has real potential with more tweaks/support. When they pop off, they feel absolutely FERAL 🔥

FERAL WEAPON 🗡️ Hybrid discard/Firehair/Misery package focused on getting Weapon H for cheap. In testing, I saw Luke’s Bar a lot, which let Blade/Weapon H cook. This deck was the catalyst for Morgan Le Fay’s change. I love to play Corvus and Proxima together.

FERAL SHARD 💎 WC + Marrow in Bullseye/Daken shell. Straightforward: the new cards give discard more payoff options without changing the core gameplan. Moira X/Killmonger is still one of the strongest combos in the game. But fair warning: heavy Gambit reliance = big RNG swings.

FERAL CAT 🐱 This is a destroy build with BC as MVP. Lose 4 when discarded, gain 4 w/ Wild Child. Play it + Venom? 8 power from 1 cat. Fire Marrow early to hit fewer cards or late for more Ajax power. Wild Child doesn’t scale; you only need ONE each discard/destroy triggers.

Here are my top three Wild Child/Marrow brews. These aren’t meta-breakers…yet, but they’re solid additions to strong existing archetypes. Also great VFX for both Wild Child and Marrow. Going to keep working on these because they’re fun. What are your brews looking like?

Tickets auto-regenerate. Fixed decks allow everyone equal access to cards (many they might not have) and avoids the end of the event being AWFUL all-tech slop. Sorry, but there’s literally no downside from where I’m sitting.

Seems like SD is introducing new destroy cards to switch up the archetype, like releasing a pack of wolves to thin a herd. That usually takes a while to work in any ecosystem, so some of these may hibernate at first and show their teeth over time. 🍁🔪

10. Chamber (12/2) Fun and novel but not serious. How many will it hit? How many can you play? Not even worth targeting specific cards, they’re usually already bigger than a grizzly! I play a lot of Sauron, and you don’t need the extra. This season’s win-more card. 2/5

9. Fantomex (12/30) 4c Activate is a tougher sell than grade B maple syrup. The week this drops Luke Cage EVERYWHERE. Will get better later as fuel for discard affliction. Feels like a 13th card. I stopped short of talking myself into this one. 3/5

8. Weapon X (12/2, SP) Looks threatening, hitting BIG numbers requires destroying half your deck like a clearcut logging operation (we're always bad at math). Destroy decks are tighter than the Toronto rental market. What are you cutting for this? Buff to 2/2 isn’t good. 3/5

7. Maverick (12/16) This is a good card, right? I’m sure this is good. It’s good. It’ll slot into hand buff decks nicely. Being an Activate helps, so it can get buffed on board. Probably 4-star, but Surfer decks are like a Drake album: I have moved on. 3/5

4. Marrow (12/18) I’m high on this. I love this new style like a grizzly loves salmon. Use with ZPM/CW to hit fewer cards, earlier. Some new discard/affliction package? This might be my big whiff, but the possibilities are pouring out of me like maple syrup. It’s Series 4! 4/5

3. Weapon H (12/9) Skaar for discard. I don’t see how this doesn’t become a problem. It has more muscles than Prince Edward Island. No-brainer for any discard package needing a big (and low-cost) finishing move that packs a punch like a hockey player. 5/5

2. Adamantium Infusion (12/2, SPSP) A must-have with Fastball. This will do NASTY work with Kid Omega/Nimrod (one of my favorites). Does this market correct Elixir? 4-Cost skills are never ideal, but you can build around this w/ Fastball on t6 like a logger with a chainsaw. 5/5

1. Fastball Special (12/18, Team Clash) This is so good I’m gnawing through my adamantium restraints. Synergy with #2. 2c. This and Ada Infusion can go into any deck, even outside destroy. The problem is figuring out what to cut from decks, like choosing which limb to keep. 5/5

These ratings are biased because I’m VERY bullish on this new destroy/discard archetype. Adding Fastball to discard is all you need. I’m more motivated to cook than the chefs at Joe Beef on a Saturday night. These cards are ranked higher due to pure FERAL excitement.
