Lakers = commercial vessels operating exclusively within the Great Lakes. While they do not directly introduce species in ballast water from overseas, they can rapidly disperse individuals from an established nonnative population to various ports throughout the Great Lakes. elpc.org/blog/why-epa...

Our new paper is out! We developed a multispecies OpenArray™ chip to study cellular stress response in Acipenser species. The chip was used to measure the effects of acute thermal stress on Atlantic, lake, and shortnose sturgeon. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10....
