Alright, so after some thought on it I’ve decided to cancel going to BFC Between knowing almost no one else going, and the fact I’ve never felt more detached from the community, I just don’t think it would be a good use of almost $2000 to attend something I might not even enjoy

Yeah especially with it being a kink related con, I really needed a close friend to go with to be able to feel comfortable. And without that and various other reasons I just don’t think it would have been enjoyable for me

Yeah… I tried other things to make it fun but like My panel was turned down, my application for photography staff was turned down, no one seemed interested in a photo shoot It just wasn’t worth it at this point

The only non refundable part was the plane ticket, and even on that I got a flight credit I can use for a different furry con Maybe I’ll try BFC some other year but I just don’t think it’s for me at this time

I said this years ago and I’ll say it again But as much as I despise AI, it’s only going to keep improving and actual artists are gonna get caught in the crossfire at some point And apparently something not being AI isn’t a good enough excuse anymore, now it can’t even “look like it”

Honestly if I worked in social media I’d just quit at this point lol. I’ve seen arguments about Northshore’s post that have said “even if it’s not AI, it *looks* like AI and that’s bad too” Hopefully my art style doesn’t ever drift too close to “looks like AI” or I’m screwed I guess

#ProtocolPink I think people kinda (understandably) misunderstand why I like hyperscat sometimes For me, the gross/smell aspect isn’t a main reason I like it. To me it’s all about the excessiveness of it. Starting something that can’t be stopped, and it just keeps getting more out of control 💦
