The database update once a month with new UICN status so if a species changes in this list rarity changes in the game. The. Already dropped cards keep their rarity but new card dropped will have the new rarity status if UICN status changed

Rarity is indeed based on the real rarity in the wild (through UICN red list rank). Legendary cards are the most in danger créatures and mythic cards are the one that does not longer exist in the wild

Well for a plant specialist i'm sure they don't look the same at all 😅 . The pool for daily challenge has around 60k species and there is a hard block in the code preventing the same species to be in the daily challenge again for 500 days

I would say it depends on your knowledge about kingdoms and species, for me plants are the hardest usually. For each questions you have up to 10 choices and you have to choose into the proposed list. After 4 mistake on a question the answer is revealed and you move to the next question.

but you usually have common traits for each kingdom, for mammals you usually have : weight, size, diet, habitat, activity, lifespan. It is other traits for fungi and plants but classification is also part for the question pool for each card and it is available for every card no matter the kingdom
