Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 08/08/2026We managed to find a recovered, yet slightly broken version of the game's page from The Shark Tank! All we can really show is this edited screenshot. Expect more updates soon-er-ish-ish! 000
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 15/03/2026Take a Seat, the main menu's theme, is now restored and up for your listening pleasure! Go check out the full song here: youtu.be/smiofaLOyHM 042
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 31/12/2025The journey has been rocky so far, but I think it can only get better from here. Happy holidays to everyone! (ps. here's a little behind the scenes look for anyone who has read until here. special thanks to you!) 010
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 31/12/2025Thanks for your patience, and expecting so little of me for as much support (even as small an audience you are) give in return. I can't tell you when the game will actually come out, but I can assure you - as long as I don't go crazy🥴- that the game will come out. 110
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 31/12/2025Even if it has been exhausting, and the final product doesn't end up landing with everyone in the way I wanted, I don't think I could do it any other way. For as much as it just seems like a silly kid's game for many, I think it holds something special - at least for me. 110
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 31/12/2025And that's when my investigation began. A hunt that has been creeping over me for months longer than I can count, trying to both recollect my thoughts and as many of the original assets, concepts and code I've been able to gather from what I actually remember of the game. 110
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 31/12/2025Of course, this could've just been my terrible memory causing me to forget or mispercieve certain things - but, the colors of the main cast? The order of stages? Hell, the ending of the game? I knew I had to look further - I wasn't happy enough with what I found. 110
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 31/12/2025So, when I did actually find an early, unpolished build of the game just looming around out there, like a shark waiting for its prey... I was shocked to find out that it was - barely - anything like how I remembered it. It's like if the game had grown with me over the years. 110
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 31/12/2025And yet, I remembered the experience vividly. I knew of lost origins to images, videos - even full movies - yet I couldn't shake off the feeling that the world itself was trying to hide the game from me. Weird, I know, but that's what hyperfixations do to ya. 110
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 31/12/2025A game that, for some reason, seemed to have completely dissapeared from the face of the earth by the time I was old enough to get nostalgia from it. For as long as I looked, I never found anything aside from some off-hand mentions of the game in loose forums and threads gone by. 110
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 31/12/2025Although we didn't start with the intentions of a serious from the ground-up remake, the original Bink 8 has always had a soft spot in my heart, a game I used to love even for its many flaws and age even past the fact I was a kid - and I wanted that experience to live on today. 110
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 31/12/2025What a year, ain't that right? (at this point, this project'll last to live up to its namesake...🤭) But the passion to keep going is strong as ever, and the learning-as-it-goes approach is starting to bloom. We've set the blueprints on the table, now we put our minds into it.🧵 111
Bink 8 @binkgal.bsky.social · 20/08/2025We're still working with The Shark Tank team to be able to get their website up and running. In the meanwhile, enjoy this short newly-found track! 242
