Current guitar build: After inlaying the side position dots, I’m pressing in the frets today. I use an arbor press because I get much more consistent results with no worries about marring the fretboard.

After years of trying everything from hand planing / sanding to an elaborate home-grown pivoting platform, I finally invested in the fretboard radius jig from stringpluckery.com. It’s a 3D-printed carriage for a compact router (my Makita fits perfectly) that supports all common fretboard radii.
