Also sorry I clearly can't stop talking about this but I really love seeing beautiful prose from academics in their scholarly work. There are some v. well-written historical works out there: Helen MacDonald's Possessing the Dead & Inga Clendinnen's Dancing With Strangers for your reading pleasure:

Decided to watch Tonari no Yokai-san because it looked really cute and sweet but 7 episodes in and I've already cried like every 1.5 episodes, what the fuck.

Tsutenkaku Tower + the infamous I HAVE COME IN OSAKA!!! keychain I now regret not buying. The following 4 hours were then a blur of going in and out of various Animate/Lashinbang/Surugaya equivalents in Den Den Town before going back to gloat over my haul 🥲

Ambled through Shinsekai and up towards Namba. Stopped for lunch (and a non alc lemon sour) at a great little karaage place. Also, I'm pretty sure I bumped into the family I sat next to on the plane under the arch?? 🤔

Putting some travel pics on here as well because why not ✨ yay #endeatour!! 🔥 Sumiyoshi Taisha, followed by some grilled dango at a cafe in the park - sweet/salty anko & goma with brown sugar. Also suspect this is where I lost my Icoca 🥲🥲 dumbass tax paid in full.

results definitely skewed because I put one song on loop while writing + a lot of the artists just show up in the shuffle queue but ヾ( ͝° ͜ʖ͡°)ノ♪

On a side note, Soufflé went to the vet last week & got told she needs to lose one whole kilogram i.e. 1/6 of her bodyweight 😂

having the absolute time of my life rn watching Defunctland's 1.5 hour video on the Disney FastPass system. Mr. Jo's been banging on about how great it is and regretfully, he's right once again about these long form video essays. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yjZ...
