I hate dealing with room finish and material schedules. You either use a dummy schedule to log material specs or manage actual material elements (working in the material editor is painful). Hopefully this new import/export workflow will make it less of a chore.

Oof, I tried to avoid this for plum calcs by having users specify the occupancy range key for stepped calculations. Each step includes min and max occ plus provisions from lower range counts. Smaller formulas to troubleshoot, less parameters to manage, & we can still warn users of errors.

The other thing we noticed is family types are not sorted in the type catalog. Our guess is FP sorted them based on element id? It could be something that customers just deal with but it annoys us so that means its not getting shipped.

Weirdly, using family processor in 2024 created type catalogs that errored out when loading due to it generating the Cost parameter not having any assigned value (even though it did not generate any other parameter that did not have an assigned value).

New feature for the forthcoming detail item collection is the ability to update family parameters using an excel file and our dynamo script. It'll be an experiment to see if customers take to this process.
