The writing in that new Fire Emblem is bonkers (read: shite).
Example:
Young lad says goodbye to his dad who is getting put to death (where they both seem remarkably chipper about the whole thing) and then, literally seconds later, is getting excited and showing more emotion about seeing a parade.
