Book 37/40 Continuing to love this series. Faction Wars was a wild ride. It constantly surprises me how much seemingly random stuff from the previous books can come back into play later in the story. Can't wait to see how the next floor goes!

Every year I take a bunch of my bulk Pokemon cards from the year (including some extra full arts and illustration rares) and package them up for my family to give out on Halloween. Just started batching the cards up for this year!

Book 36/40 I am a huge Back to the Future fan. Michael J Fox as Marty is such a great character. This book was an awesome look into his experience with the character and the struggles with doing BttF concurrently with Family Ties

Book 35/40 They are really investing in the Avatar graphic novels this year. I think I enjoy this one the most out of the ones from this year. Slightly over the Kya focused one. Seeing the early life of Jet and the beginnings of the Freedom Fighters is a really cool story to get to see.

First Ren Faire trip of the season today. In a surprising turn of events, it's still a good time. Who would have thought?

Book 34/40 A great continuation to the series. This book developed more of the Londons presented in the original, but also provided more information about the wider world outside of the city (at least outside of Red London). Also, seeing effects of the first book on characters was interesting!

Book 33/40 This series continues to be a lot, but in a really enjoyable way. I know there's a lot left and I'm excited to get to it. There was one character that drove me crazy reading, but even they are showing signs of growth and I can't wait for that growth to continue.

Just beat my first run in Hades. Couldn't really get into it when I first played years ago, but I started playing again earlier this week and it hooked me. Really fun and a seriously good challenge!

Book 32/40 A nice collection of short snapshots of time from Avatar history. It's cool that they are showing more of the other Avatars in the comics aside from just Aang and Korra. None of the stories are hard hitting, or impactful, but the slice of life is pretty fun.

BillXGames @billxgames.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Book 31/40 Continuing to love the series. The craziness and antics continue to get more insane, but it's all handled incrementally, and in a way that is set up well. I love when things from multiple floors ago become useful.

Book 30/40 I really enjoyed the story, and I think this book did a good job of bringing the threads of the trilogy together and wrapping up the narrative. The world and its history was really interesting and it was cool learning different parts of it over the course of the trilogy.

We all know the saying "hydrate or diedrate" as a reminder to drink water. I'd like to put forth, as a reminder to eat, "nourish or perish".

BillXGames @billxgames.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Book 29/40 More Avatar content, which I'm happy about. The comics don't hit as hard , but they are still fun to read. Art is always great. The character choices don't always seem super accurate, but it's interesting seeing some of the stuff Zuko is doing for the Fire Nation's recovery.

020

BillXGames @billxgames.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

Book 28/40 The Avatar comics can be a bit hit or miss, but this one was a good time. It's not an overly complex story by any means, but learning more about Kya and getting to see more of the Si Wong Desert and how the sand benders live is a cool addition to the Avatar world.

Played the Halo Campaign Evolved campaign all the way through today. I haven't taken off work to play a game in a while and it was a great time. Definitely some things with the remake that weren't great, but overall really enjoyed it.

BillXGames @billxgames.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

Book 27/40 Jumping into another series that I've heard good things about. Definitely a solid book 1. There are a lot of characters and kingdoms to learn about so a lot of the book is devoted to laying the groundwork. With that done, the rest of the series has a lot of cool stuff to work with.

BillXGames @billxgames.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

I am always going to be excited for new Avatar content. Very excited for a new show and seeing how the world has changed. I'm definitely not fully buying the "everything is Korra's fault" history the characters are telling. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rvks...

Book 26/40 I'm always happy to get more lore from the Avatar world. This book had some moments that felt especially relevant to current day events which was interesting. We do know a lot about Roku already and what ultimately happens, so some events in the book didn't hit as hard.

Book 25/40 With every book I'm surprised that this series can keep going as strong as it is. This is my favorite of the series so far. The ability for seemingly unimportant things to continue to play big parts in their plans continues to amaze me. Current ranking: 5>3>4>1>2

Book 24/40 I didn't realize this was a prequel going into it. I liked it a decent amount, and seeing the origins of the Flare was pretty cool. However, after spending 3 books with the other characters, it was a bit jarring having a completely different cast for this one.

Book 23/40 The last book had so much lying and manipulation that by the end of it I was kind of tired of it. Luckily this book, while still having a bit of manipulation, was way less convoluted as far as all of that was concerned. It was also cool to see more of the outside world.

Book 22/40 These "Prime" books are really interesting. I'm a big Stormlight fan and it's cool to see these alternate universes. Dragonsteel Prime had a lot of the ideas of Stormlight with different characters. This one was many familiar characters in very different situations.
