Nice job #TheFourSeasons @netflix.com this choice of albums is perfect for the period and the character’s ages and lifestyle (and mine - felt like I was watching a scene I know from my own complicated timeline :) #TinaFey

Spectacular Captains Courageous at @videoarchivesclub this afternoon - what a beautiful movie. Double billed with Night Must Fall, (also 1937) which I’d never seen. Cinema Club was as wonderful as I’d hoped, even got to talk to the awesome Matt Landsman who i’d heard on the podcast. So excellent.

Aw you’re so kind! I labored over every frame of that movie for 3 1/2 years, if I told you the production challenges that we faced you’d never believe it. But it was important for me to have Dave in the movie. He’s such an important figure. Love him. He’s a real inspiration.

A quick Stevie adjacent story… 😎 I’m in an all girl group called Stella and back in 2011 we made a record in NYC that was co-produced by Dave Marsh. We recorded in Brooklyn at ValveTone Studios with Larry Eagle sitting in on percussion- same studio and drummer as Springsteen’s Seeger sessions.

Start I’m sure Dave saved my life. There are two shots of him in Disciple. The one with the lower third in Asbury Park and an uncredited one where he’s shooting pool in John Sayles’ Glory Days video. Dave means the world to me and I’ve got to tell him. Check out what’s right next to my desk. And
