Once a month I go back to my home: Hamburg. Everything I hear and see is magical to me. I film, take photos. In my soul I hear the songs from my coming albums that go with the picture I've just found. I've arrived somewhere where nothing else matters but this moment and the world I have inside of me

Happy Birthday to the incredible, trailblazing legend Jayne County whom I've had the pleasure of hanging out with many times.

Last weekend in the Economist. Absolutely chuffed. The article is called: Best 6 lost albums.

I'm in a 'no wire hangers' mood today. Tread carefully 😉

A wonderful producer told me today that the vocals on one of my new albums were 'chef's kiss'. Love that expression and it made my morning.

The streaming quality on Spotify is as low as it gets. I had wondered whether all songs have really dull mixes these days, so I compared on bandcamp. It's just Spotify sounding like utter crappola.

I spent the last couple of weeks in the studio mixing, repairing botched mixes, trying ideas, adding some more strings etc. I can report happily that I am making progress. It's lifted my mood, I feel I'm moving forward and I'm having a lot of fun. Bit of a way yet too go but strolling on and on....

Not many people know this but this is the actor and character I wrote 'You're walking' about. To me he could resemble a (harmless) peeping Tom who walks around Hamburg's red light district. This is how I imagined my character to look and I wrote the song lyric after watching the movie.

This recording always makes me laugh. We'd been recording for a few days at studio Broadway 900 (where not long before,Keith Richards had recorded his album) I was exhausted and over it. I said that I would sing it once and once only. And did :) One take. billieraymartin.bandcamp.com/track/skin-o...

Bluesky would fare better if they increased the amount of characters that can be posted. It's boring the way it is now.

I did not expect this documentary to be so fantastic and so moving.I cried a few times, not only because I was floored by the man's passion and integrity. In the 60's american youth were so open to new promise, new movements to make the America heal,to bebetter place www.youtube.com/watch?v=Czk2...

Pop stars, producers, Dj's, elf promoting, self promoting, and only that.Never,EVER,do they share a fellow artist's song,a video they might like, something that's blown their mind, something they'd like to support.Just endless, self serving fakery and posting their own stuff. No community, no love.
