The Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision opened the door for ultra-wealthy donors to spend unlimited money in our elections. Citizens United was a bad decision, but Congress has the power to do something about it. Instead, it has never held a vote on a constitutional amendment to overturn it.

What’s frustrating for those of us who aren’t stuck in a partisan fever dream is that this won’t be called by members of his own party. When tribal loyalty shields clearly unacceptable behavior, our politics lose their moral grounding while setting a terrible example for our kids.

This is the heart of Mike Newcome's leadership. He and his wife Marie opened their home to three incredible young people from Ukraine and their courage helped inspire Mike to run for Governor. Two of them are back in Ukraine now and supporting Mike's run while dealing with the challenges of war.
