I've had a passing interest in the Orthodox Church for some time, mainly because it seems closer to Christianity's ancient Greek roots. I'll always be a dyed in the wool liberal Lutheran (ELCA), but I do enjoy the stateliness of the old ways. I don't see "masculinity" in that. How ridiculous.

Thank you for this. I was in South Korea in 1979-80 as a US Peace Corps volunteer when the government declared martial law after the assassination of President Park Chung Hee. It was every bit as oppressive as one would expect. My real concern now is that Trump is watching this and getting ideas.

I wrote my novel and created the cover myself. "The Seed of Joy" is about a young American Peace Corps volunteer who becomes involved in the bloody Gwangju Uprising in South Korea in 1980. The tragedy of the Uprising paved the way from dictatorship to the current modern democracy in Korea.
