#RangDeBasanti Watched during the student protests. Good music and dynamic editing accompany a story that, however, takes its time to get going. Before speeding up so much towards the end that it loses its way. It's always sad to see idealistic young people turn into terrorists 1/2➡️

No Limits An article from Filmfare magazine, October 1997. SRK gets angry at journalists, speaks affectionately of Juhi and Madhuri, and of the filming of Yess Boss, Pardes, etc. ➡️1/2

The magazine cover depicts Shah Rukh Khan in a white suit holding a slate that reads "No limits." His expression is provocative, and his right fist is clenched.

Photo of SRK in a black suit. His hands are clasped in front of his face, his two index fingers pointing upwards, as is his gaze.

I should write a review of this film someday, but there's so much to say that I don't know where to begin. One of Shah Rukh Khan's best films. Certainly one of his most fascinating. #FAN

Zee Premiere, december 1998 What I perhaps love most about his interviews is when he talks about the characters he portrays. His deep understanding of their psychology is surprising. Sometimes he feels very close to them, like Raj from DDLJ, sometimes less so like Rahul from...

After the clamour and tragedy of this rock opera, other, more subtle impressions continue to linger with us. That, to me, is what makes this director so distinctive. 🌕🌕🌕🌗

The female character is purely functional; she exists only to help Jordan discover himself. The best: the music. Omnipresent, it enhances every scene, every shot, and every emotion. A. R. Rahman at his best, and kudos to Mohit Chauhan too. The visuals are stunning, as always with Imtiaz Ali. 2/3

Rockstar - Imtiaz Ali (2011) The story, unconventional, follows an artist determined to push his art to its limits. And to do so, he will use a muse, ideally beautiful and unattainable. RK is perfect in the role of the self-absorbed artist, even if he sometimes overdoes it. 1/3
