Also, I feel stupid. The pencil drawings weren't in the "telegram" folder because that's not the tool you use to take photos! Anyway, here are some. First one March 2020, Il-Gżira (thanks geotagging), last one May 2020.
A cat sleeping, curled up. Ballpoint pen on paper.

I don't remember if what I used as reference for this was a photo or a drawing, but this is just a one to one copy of something I saw. The lines aren't bad, but that's because I erased the messy pencil sketch from under the pen drawing. Sketch of a part of a face, showing the eye and the surrounding region, and a sketch of a deers bust. Pencil on paper.

Both are from a sketching guide book "Beginners guide to sketching: characters, creatures & concepts".

I'm happy with both. The eye sketch uses a lot of hatching to imply form and texture, and it makes the skin feel very old and very alive. The deer drawing is smudged to create flat regions of different values. I used an eraser to make a small white outline around the deer (to erase the smudges) before redrawing the lines where I wanted to bring out the features.Police girl from Hellsing!

I basically paused the anime on a frame I wanted to draw and copied what I saw on the screen to the paper. Not quite tracing, but lets call this a study on inking lines or something. This photo shows the pencil sketch, the next one has the finished lines.

So it's Seras Victoria from Hellsing Ultimate, from the scene where she meets the mercenaries. She is standing with her back to a wall, her arms behind her, with an expression I can only describe as :3, wearing her pseudo-military uniform.

The sketch is still a bit messy, the lines still a bit uncertain, but my hatching peaked here, and I also gave the shadows faint outlines which makes them read really clearly. Her boobs are really far apart and that uniform shirt has really weird cut now that I'm looking at it.As promised, the inked(?) result. I used a combination of Staedtler fineliners (0.05mm - 0.8mm). The pencil sketch has been erased.

I think I did a good job with line weights, hatching, etc, and I think this looks really good, even if it is just a copy from an anime frame. You can probably find the original frame if you just google "police girl hellsing".

Sorry I lost the plot again but here are some other things I've drawn.
Anubis peforms a covid test, circa 2020. A human-like jackal wearing a nemes with some gold earrings, using one hand to hold the mouth of a lady open while the other hand uses one of those long ear poking things you use to take the covid sample. Yeah I know that's not the correct hole.

I took a very minimal approach to lines in this one, to break apart my messy sketching habit. Every line is straight, very defined, very decisive. No lines overlap, there is no uncertainty. The colors are flat, there is no shading. I think I did a good job choosing the colors too. The whole drawing has a sort of WikiHow vibe to it.Sketch of a Soldier. A woman, maybe in her late 20's - early 30's, jogging at a casual pace with her rifle in her hands, looking to the side. She has military boots, cargo pants, gear belt, that bisexual side shave, a field shirt, shemagh and a cloth "covid" mask.

The sketch is still rough, her face is unfinished, one of her hands is a featureless mitten. The lines are clear but there is no shading or flat colors. The rifle I didn't trace because it was really hard to find pictures of RK-95's when I drew this. Circa 2021.A shy possum lady, plushing while trying to cover her (clothed) body with her oversized hoodie. She is wearing cargo shorts, thigh high programmer socks, the hoodie, and an oversized wool beanie with holes for her ears. Her skinny tail is wrapped around her leg defensively. Circa 2021.

Cleaned lines, flat colors with minimal shading. I tried to make her work as a sona, but possums have the problem where their faces really only work from one angle so I gave up on it.Another possum lady! This time more mature, more round, and less clothed! Gasp!

She is wearing that awful knitted uh dress? with the open back (not visible) that went viral in I think 2022.

Less refined lines, but better anatomy. I really like how I did the fingers here, they are a bit large and blocky but they read super well. They remind me of tauren fingers. Oh and it's me as a woman again!

Anyway, I got back into art during covid, this time with a copious amount of youtube videos to help, and I made some really decent progress in few years. The first sketch is from May 2020, the second one February 2021.
Sketch of Tanya from Yojo Senki, kneeling down to shoot her SMG from low kneeling stance. Red lines on a white background. The lines are messy, the line width inconsistent, and the whole drawing is very flat and hard to read. Anatomy is off, proportions are off, and dear god what is going on with that shoe. It's the dog, ya'll. The dog that didn't get me hired. It's a german shepherd running, wearing a tactical vest/harness thingy, with a kitted out AKS-74U on a one-point sling dangling off to the side.

Still white background, still white lines, but this time I have blocked out the major regions with different values: the dog is the lightest shade, then the vest, then the gun.

The lines are a lot less messy, more decisive. Lines are thicker where they need to be, to make overlapping parts and outlines more clear. I've also used hatching extensively over the dog for shading to bring out the shape and imply fur direction. This, together with the correct foreshortening, makes the image feel a lot less flat.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite pieces to date. It is rough, half finished, but I keep forgetting that because of how good it looks. I used extensive references for this. And if you were thinking "oh wow that gun looks really good", well, I traced it. Most of it, anyway. I took a screenshot from Tarkov and traced over it, but I didn't have most of the attachments I wanted so I drew them over the traced gun. I'm not really that good.

The year is 2009, dark winter evening. I'm sitting on the living room floor, right next to the massive CRT TV. In front of me I have my PC, which is plugged into the TV, a SilverCrest "gaming" keyboard and mouse, and a World of Warcraft Battle Chest I had purchased a day before.
Club3D HD4650 "Graphics card designed for Multimedia & Gaming" product picture. The GPU has a red PCB with a white DVI and a white VGA connector, and a very sparse aluminium heatsink with two thick copper head pipes running through it, both making a U turn before going into the one heat block. The fins on the heat sink are maybe half a millimetre thin and spaces maybe 5mm apart, making it very easy to see through and probably very bad at dissipating heat. It was not a powerful card.

While I love the new indian food place, but their takeout boxes keep clipping into the fridge and becoming stuck!
Photo of the inside of my fridge, top shelf, which is mostly empty, but has some nacho cheese, a microwave burger, and shredded cheese respectfully sitting on the glass shelf. A lone cardboard takeout box is touching the back wall of the fridge, floating about 6-7cm from the shelf, in mid air. The other items are keeping their distance to it.

I recently discovered how much fun the photo mode in Cyberpunk 2077 can be (with mods), and I've been in love with it ever since. I don't think I've had this much fun in years. I should spend my weekends on this instead of trying to come up with some AI product that'll make me millions.

This is the most comprehensive list I've found so far. Academic books, most of them have newer editions in print (and also e-book versions), the main reason for getting older editions seems to be cost (the DEM book is ~350€ for the new edition and ~200€ for the older one iirc).

I don't know why I didn't a photo earlier, bit this thing. Same color even.
Dull grey (like a depressed olive?) plastic container, with thick friendly walls. Maybe 30-40 cm in diameter and 10-15 cm tall, with slight taper, and some nice molded handles, this isn't quite a bowl nor a bucket, but a vati. Accompanied by the ever-loved kuuppa, a plastic ladle, where the head is maybe ~20 cm wide and 5 cm deep, rounded bottom, total volume of maybe two liters? I am too lazy to do the math. With a round handle that ends in a sort of hook you can use to hang it on the side of a saavi (large bucket). Sometimes the vati or kuuppa could have rought seams, especially on the cheaper ones, I hated those. Also you are not supposed to bite the vati or the kuuppa. They don't taste nice.

the rack is back on its spot in the wind closer, and now a mysterious green 1U device has been mounted on it. as a funny coincidence, the green case happens to almost match the green paint on the walls. anyway, the device is a mikrotik RDS, go look it up. not because I am sponsored or anything, but because I am too exhausted to writeview from on top of the rack, where a deltaco "desktop" cat6a patch panel has been mounted on the ceiling. it terminates 4 cables, which are then connected to the mikrotik via 50cm cat6a patch cables

I don't know if I have the strength to do the reduntant runs, but I know if I ever want to access this again I'll have to take down the whole rack.
Deltaco Cat6A 8-port Krone to RJ45 patch panel, mounted on the ceiling above where the rack will be. I can't work on this once the rack is in place as there is not enough room. Also I've mounted it so that the RJ45 ports face the wall, because Cat6A installation cable is bitch to work with and has a turn radius of something like 15 cm, whereas cat6a patch cables are pretty much as nible as any cat before them.

Also, do I need Cat6A? Absolutely not, my longest run is like 8 metres so Cat5E would have been enough to get 10Gbit, and it is much nicer to work with. Live and learn, I guess.

First test fits. I am annoyed by the stickout, but not annoyed enough to try seeing if I could cut a notch into a load-bearing stud (he's a power bottom).
The empty 6u 60cm rack is placed on top of the vertical supports. It sits flat (enough), and there is a ~10cm gap between the rack and the ceiling for airflow and clearance.View from the side, showing the rack sticks out of the recess a bit. This photo is taken from the front door doorway, so the rack sticks into the doorway.A measuring tape is added, showing that the stickout is 62mmphoto from on top of the rack, showing the fans have a lot of clearance, and the electrical junction boxes are safe too. Would be nice if I could get power from one of them...

The hammers are kissing each other, with a surprise twist: the fiskars is bottoming. I used the "smaller" hammer to drive the claw of the Fiskars tool between two pieces of wood I needed to separate, and the nails were akwardly positioned so I couldn't use the claws in the traditional nail pulling way. Ended up working surprisingly well, the longer handle on the Fiskars gives great leverage.

First time using a Krone punch, I now understand why it is called a punch.
A ethernet cable (Cat6A installation cable, unshielded) terminating in a PCB with I guess Krone terminals(?), where you use a special tool to press the individual wires in slots, the tool presses them in snugly and cuts of the tails. This wallmount RJ-45 box has two RJ-45 terminals, two of the Krone terminals, and strain relief for two cables but I only installed one.

Btw this is the hand plane my mom gave me, no idea how old it is (or it is just really badly treated new production one)
Jack plane, similar to Stanley Bailey no 5 as far as I can tell. The metal parts are completely covered in rust, there is no hint of the green paint most Kunz planes seem to have. The handles(?) are both wood, with varnish flaking off.The plane from the front, showing the KUNZ logo. There is no mention of Germany.Bottom of the plane. It has severe rusting on one side, like it was resting on something wet for a long time. It seems fairly smooth otherwise and I think I can bring it to life. In the back we see a car plane, a wooden toy that is sort of like a pickup truck with wings. I don't remember exactly when I made it, but it was 20+ years ago. If I remember correctly, we had these car kits at school (literally just wooden wheels + block of wood) to make the car from, and I wanted to put wings in mine so I cut a piece of scrap plywood and used that as the wings. I think this was in the 4th grade (based on which school I was in at the time)

Someone has painted stick figures on the shelf.
I don't know how to describe the color of the shelf, other than depressed turquoise. On the outside side of the shelf, some has painted human characters with a slightly brighter-but-still-off color. The characters look like they have been painted by children, maybe 5-7 years of age, who didn't quite understand why they had to pack all of their toys in boxes, why mom was crying, or why dad wasn't packing his things. It's been 24 years and I still remember the fighting, the shouting, and the fear and confusion I lived in every day.

A photo from the storage room in the sauna building. The floor is concrete with some cow hides(?) on it, the walls are finished with wood paneling except for the rear right section which is concrete and houses a small fireplace. The room has some old chests, cabinets, shelves, etc, filled with various things. It has a pleasant, warm vibe (if you ignore the animal skins and handprints on the walls). Photo taken inside the InterCity train, showing a fresh cup of tea and a 0.33 litre water bottle you get "for free" with the more expensive Extra train tickets (around 36€ for this journey). The scenere outside is this idyllic country side landscape with lots of green.

Not pictured, but each seat also has a dedicated wall outlet, adjustable seats with lots of leg room, overhead storage for baggage and a separate storage section for bigger bags. InterCity trains also have paid bicycle storage, and separate car for people travelling with animals. This configuration doesn't have the restaurant car, but it's a short leg, around 45 minutes from Sastamala to Tampere.

This is what green electricity looks like btw, in case you were wondering. I'm literally getting paid to run my AC.
Screenshot from my Fortum mobile app, showing that the electricity consumption for 24th of May 2026 was 11.00 kWh, for a total cost of 0.07€. The consumption graph shows a large spike at 16:00-17:00 (up to 1.4 kWh).Screenshot from the Fortum mobile app, showing 1-hour spot pricing for electricity. The selected interval is 15:00-16:00, for which the average is -0.61 c/kWh, or negative 0.0061 €/kWh, and the 15-minute spot pricing ranges between -0.67 c/kWh and -0.45 c/kWh. The 1-hour graph peaks at 2.5 c/kWh at 02:00, and has a sharp negative pit at the 14:00-16:00 region, with the daily average being somewhere around 1-0.5 c/kWh.

My only regret is not using more electricity between 15:00 and 16:00, but also I think my electricity contract might have a lower limit of 0€ per day so I don't think they would have actually paid me, idk.
