Hi Bikubot, I provided some test examples using the exploit avenues that were used in the vuln chain. If an overlay fails, then yeah dawg we aint party time anymore. Otherwise we gucci. People can just test with this. It's very unlikely someone is affected.

Be a bit wary about your Chat overlays (that are browser sources), if not done correctly they could lead to remote code execution. If unsure, just turn them off for now.

Might be a good time to say this again! As the question comes up from time to time. Bikubot is not and will not be implementing any Generative AI features, like TTS that uses Gen AI. The belief is firmly that real work like artists should be supported and not have it being used without permission.

Triggering actions from Websocket is still in the plans, and high on it, likely to see it in the next couple updates. This is for logic within actions, but it hit me that I need to add so the receive module incoming message gets set to a parameters so it can be used by this new logic.

This is correct! Bikubot uses AWS Polly for it's voices, to be more specific it only uses their "Standard TTS voices", which was more or less the standard TTS before Gen AI.

Meld was high on the list of things I wanted to add support for in Bikubot as it looked like a really cool alternative for OBS, that is no longer true as it now has the same problem as any product that uses GenAI.

Using a TTS service that allows for SSML is a good way to customize your TTS voice without using genAI to make it unique, it's a way to change the pitch, rate and timbre among others for the "standard" voices.

Now I do not have much knowledge about linux, but I do build a .rpm, .dep and .AppImage (auto updates) and so far no problems from the few linux user I do have.

Yes, Bikubot uses AWS Polly for TTS. It never had a system where the bot can "generate responses", it was to be added at one point, but the community had a respectful conversation and I learned a lot and after that I took a stance against it. I would be interested to know what you mean with vague?

Depends, there is one "broken" thing, as with recent versions of OBS the old Websocket connection can't affect newly created Text sources, so Bikubot has moved to using the build in websocket other then that its "just" a few more features.

Will be honest and say that the Mac version has fallen behind the Windows version, but in the final stages of catching up (it's out in pre-release branch). When it comes to tutorial I mostly rely on community videos as I am not at making them myself and a full up working the bot itself :)

Sorry this happened to you, the last update was a big change, having to move to OBS websocket v5, I know you moved on but did you try the rebind function? That should have fixed it for you, instead of having to recreate them.
