Contraflow lane upgrade (South Main St, Cork) There's raised surface and bollards will help with the previous illegal parking but I'm hoping more are added before the project is completed.

I think that’s the plan eventually, but I don’t see it happened till the docklands regeneration project gets underway.

The plans also show the lane move to the opposite side of the road, which is part of the Docklands regeneration scheme, It's unclear if this section will be developed prior the completion of this project.

Received a reply regarding protecting existing infrastructure, we have to await the traffic management plan before before we'll know if the existing lane will be retained during construction.

As things start to ramp up at the site of the former Sextant bar, I have received information that this contraflow bike lane and footpath are going to be impacted during the ~2 year construction. There is no adjacent footpath, I really hope something can be implemented to retain access for all.
