Hello! Have you noticed we've been a little quiet lately? We would love your help with that! We are looking for a social media volunteer to join our team and help us stay on people's newsfeeds! Could that be you? Get in touch if so!

Image: a lilac graphic titled "Big Queer Picnic social media volunteer call out". There is a meme from "high school musical" of a girl in a pink shirt with long dark hair which is captioned "social media is my passion".
The text below reads "we are looking for a volunteer to help with BQP's social media content creation. Interested or have any questions? Please email: BigQueerPicnicCardiff@gmail.com. Below this text there are handles for our three social media accounts: bluesky, facebook and Instagram. There is a fluffy watercolour rainbow graphic in the top right and bottom left of the image.

Our new banner was kindly made by Queer Crafts Pontypridd throughout 2024 and had it's first of many airings at this year's picnic! BQP is for the community, by the community and will continue to be that way. Photo credit: Dan Le Brun (he/him)

Some of our team at this year's picnic! It was a big step for us to be able to afford toilets and we will be looking to do the same for 2025 and every year going forward. It was the number one thing the community asked for in 2023. Look out for fundraising events. Photo credit to @dan.le.brun

30% of children in the UK are growing up in poverty. 7% of children attend private schools And yet the scandal of child poverty receives far less attention than VAT on private schools from much of our media class. A story of wealth and power in Britain.
