Boston’s subway opened 129 years ago this week. On September 1, 1897, the Tremont Street subway opened, becoming the first subway tunnel in North America. The historic tunnel still carries MBTA Green Line trains through downtown Boston today.

One of Boston's most unique landmarks is a 40-foot-tall milk bottle. Originally built in 1930 as an ice cream stand, it was ferried to Boston in 1977 during the "Great Bottle Sail" and still serves ice cream today outside the Boston Children's Museum.

The hero of Bondi: Ahmed el Ahmed, a 43 year old fruit shop owner from Sutherland. He grabbed the gun off one of the terrorists shooting at Jews during a Hanukkah celebration. Ahmed was then shot in the leg and shoulder by another terrorist. He’s being treated in the hospital and expected to be OK.
