Tuesday spin: Blondie’s self titled debut. Got this one for my birthday. My buddy Jeff said I needed a 1976 album, and he found a 1977 pressing in PRISTINE condition. Second half of this album is super strong, but the whole thing is such a fun listen.

Monday spin: Bonobo’s Migration. He announced a new album in September, so it felt right to listen to one I always forget about. It’s very low key compared to his other stuff, but it really works. I also made chili while listening. No correlation, I just like making chili and listening to Bonobo.

I’ll also note, Bloom is such a case against AI music. AI would not make any of these musical choices. AI wouldn’t understand how floating in the ocean and allowing yourself to be a tiny piece in a vast, infinite living thing influenced the lyrics and vibe. It would parrot, not understand or feel.
