It's one of the few books that I'd read, was like "WTF did I just read?" and then just started reading it again. I love all the books by Kerascoet, but this one might be my favourite.

Here's the 9 anime that shaped me. Probably should've thrown in some Miyazaki too, but got into Ghibli waaaaaay later.

What a dumb take to have in 2026 (or any year to be honest). Elitism is the worst.

I'm very slowly aging out of mosh pits. I can do one a day at most. During the recent Off Festival in Katowice I was fine on Saturday during Chat Pile, but surviving Amyl and The Sniffers on Sunday was a struggle. Mostly because of the dust which I'm still finding everywhere a week later.

Try Beta Ray Bill by Daniel Warren Johnson. Ultimate X-men by Zack Davisson/Peach Momoko. Also Peach's own X-men work (Demon Wars/Days). Also any random stuff drawn by Chris Samnee, Marcos Martin, Javier Rodriguez (mostly Spider-Man/Daredevil).

overcome unanticipated trouble. There's no actual characters, no witty dialogue, no dramatic editing, barely any chemistry. Also too much legal/financial mumbo jumbo. I'm glad that everyone got a paycheck, but "In the grey" sucked major ass.

Some Saudi guys approached Guy Ritchie and said: make us a film. So he gathered some very attractive people and made the most generic action flick ever. You don't make a movie where characters have to follow an intricate plan and then everything works out perfect.Something has to fail so they can 1/2

I just want a thing to do what's it supposed to do well. I don't need my coffee machine to be also a scooter and an mp3player that all can be operated with an app. Probably cheaper to make, more reliable (fewer things can break) and can be easily fixed without the need to hack into the mainframe.

I saw it a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised how great it was for basically a variation of a "monkey's paw". Atmospheric, genuinely creepy, violent only when it needs to. Great use of the tiny budget. Tomorrow I am seeing it again with a friend.

The ultimate productivity hack is definitely a clunky old laptop barely running Windows 7. You use that baby to write your scripts or manuscripts, you’re getting through 10 pages a day, easy.

I saw it in Paris. It was great. I never thought I'd get chills while seeing backgrounds or designs for some kids anime from the '70 that I never even saw. I still need to see Princess Kaguya in a theatre somehow.

If you somehow didn't read any Love and Rockets you can get a primer for cheap or EVERYTHING that the Hernandez brothers did for a few dollars more. These are some of the greatest comics ever made!

I don't know why The X-files are trending, but I'm almost done with season two. I still vaguely remember most of the episodes, so I think I saw most of it as a kid. I recently got a treadmill so I usually jump on it and watch an episode or two. The plan is to finish the entire series this year.

Don't complain when a manga goes on hiatus. Creators' health and wellbeing matter more than the thing they create.

both of them will return as Ghostface in the next part. Unfortunately I also read that the production was an absolute mess, so I suspect that no one involved was smart enough to make the biggest meta-plot twist ever and quietly rehire them behind the scenes. (2/2)

I've rewatched the entire Scream franchise. I know that Melissa Barerra was fired from the 7th part because she criticised what is happening in Gaza and Jenna Ortega left soon after. Knowing how the series plays with viewers' expectations and the slasher tropes, my conspiracy theory is that (1/2)

Godfather is probably the greatest films of all times, but does it include a man made of chainsaws riding a demon-shark into an eye of a typhoon? No! Therefore Chainsawman: Reze Arc > The Godfather. There's nothing to discuss here. Good night.

I've returned to watching/rewatching X-files. That's one of the few shows my parents usually didn't allow me to watch when I was a kid. I've managed to see most of season 1&2 during reruns when I was older, but it was 30 years ago so I forgot a lot. It's such a great series. Well shot and written

Last month I took a 3h train ride to see Suspiria (1977) in a theatre. Today I'm checking the listings of a local multiplex: Special showing of Suspiria (1977) -_-' I'm checking the local indie cinema: Special showing of Suspiria, but (2018)! So I'm seeing both versions next week. SUPER SICK!
