although im not knowledgable of the exact TOS, most sites with free usage have a "u agree to whats here now and everything that proceeds to use our platform" hopefully there IS a way to take legal action bc with this as is i can only see twitch using or selling this data to be abused.

yes, in a perfect world opting out says "get this thing outta here i dont wanna touch it" but twitch wants money and scraping your data is part of how it gets it and its not guna ask for permission when you streaming means a one sided agreement in the first place.

seeing lots of "turn off this twitch setting" like... do it. but be aware its still scraping your information whether you want to or not. the opt out is saying you dont want to use it, not you dont want it used ON you. voice your opinion to twitch but dont be fooled "turn it off" fixes ANYTHING

turning it off doesnt stop it... it just... doesnt present the info its gathering if off. it was tested by being off, turned on to silence and left like that for 10 minutes as twitch still populated info about everything prior to those 10 minutes. twitch is feeding your stream to ai regardless
