For my birthday we went to Portmerion, where The Prisoner was filmed. It’s a beautiful place, feels so surreal being there as it looks like a place from Italy or Greece, but you’re in Wales XD

I had a raid that went south fast. They took out most the capable members, I was left with a pacifist sick with plague. Three kids who had been out nature running. The raiders ignored the rare metals, money, works of art, relics, but made off with all the colony’s honey and coffee.

I love the friendbugs. One of my colonies accidentally hauled some insect eggs to an incubator, that I had forgot to set storage rules for. The fear that shot through me when I saw the kids being followed by a tiny Megaspider. Then the realisation it was a part of the family.

Happy New year! It’s been a strange few weeks. Had a week away with parents and family friend at the end of Dec. Saw the new year arrive while enjoying a hot tub :D …then had to fight my way down Wales in unexpected snow :< That last morning was so beautiful though, the sky such a soft pink.

Used to have pet chipmunks. Loved them dearly, their little acrobatics and dances together. If you came close, they would wiggle and rush over, little hands grabbing at whatever little treat they knew was for them.

I worked in a public library. When I started we had so much available for free online, like sign language lessons, driving theory and citizenship courses. They were cut because they were barely being used. I used to discuss and hand out so many leaflets for them…use your libraries, even digitally

This pair of starlings are massive poetry fans. I’m looking forwards to the starlings returning here, I love watching them in the evenings.
