And boasted about America. And was greeting with stony silence.

There is a page on Reddit devoted to these people (Leopards Ate My Face). They're done with high prices and loss of markets. That doesn't mean they are done with being conservative. They will always vote Republican.

All those brainwashed magats who think that the Felon can magically reduce the price of crude are in for a rude awakening.

Tucker Carlson is an anti-Semite? That's news.

It's weird because back in the day, Turley was a regular on MSNBC and passed for a liberal. So, it was, for me, shocking when he defended the Felon at his impeachment hearing. But the transition is now complete, apparently.

This is an embarrassment for Jeffries and yet another betrayal of the Dem base.

I should feel bad that these reservoirs are being depleted. I don't. The shortsightedness that allowed for these dam projects is one thing. The rush to build megalopolises in the desert, the belief that the snow pack would always replenish the water were pie-in-the-sky marketing fantasies.

Every time I hear Sen Ossoff speak he sounds like a leader who isn't afraid to criticize his own party. Of course, like most elected officials, he is on AIPAC's payroll. And so, while he has condemned Netanyahu, he has yet to call what is happening in Gaza a genocide.

Typical political double talk and obfuscation. What he doesn't note is that he in on the AIPAC payroll and that he has supported Israel for years. The idea that calling Israel a genocidal nation is to therefore permit and condone anti-Semitism is to conflate the truth with political expediency.

Of course he's lying. But the NY Times has taken it upon itself to 'sanewash' his gibberish. And Lawrence O'Donnell called them out on it months ago.

If I was a believer in 'dirty tricks', I might think that Dem (or other)operatives approached Racicot with an offer she couldn’t refuse. And now it turns out Politico omitted some salient details from its hit piece.

There are 540 members of this white supremacist, neo-fascist band of incels. 540. That's not even the size of the crowd at a high school football game.. And in this photo there is only one person who is not paranoid.

Swing voters? Just what is a swing voter? And why would they believe a GOP Heritage Foundation operative rather than the 3 women he dated who described him as “fun and caring partner, stating they felt safe with him and that he was never physically threatening.”

A total failure. But he just had to outdo Obama. Meanwhile, Israel's land grab ambitions are unfolding according to plan. There is no stopping them. And they won't be satisfied until Iran is reduced to being a failed state and they are the sole power in the Middle East.

More Platner bashing from "the Atlantic". Now PTSD is 'nonsense'. 'The Atlantic' (spearheaded by Editor-in-Chief and former IDF member, Jeffrey Goldberg), is leading the charge against Platner. Why is that?

Oh brother. The people of Maine have spoken. He beat the establishment candidate by more that 50 points. I'm guessing you don't live in Maine. I'm also guessing that you have no idea who he is, or his platform, or why he appeals to Mainers. And the Nazi crack? Beneath contempt.

Did you read the Times piece? They couldn't find a shred of corroborating evidence to substantiate her claims. It wasn't 'glossed over' it was thoroughly vetted and zilch. Also, you do realize that what he's done pales in comparison to your president. A tattoo and sexting. Seriously?

Correction: unsubstantiated allegations by a Collins supporter, Heritage Foundation (Project 2025) spokesperson and anti-trans activist are taken as gospel. Meanwhile the 3 women who called him a “fun and caring partner...and that he was never physically threatening" are irrelevant.

3 women he dated described him as “fun and caring partner, stating they felt safe with him and that he was never physically threatening.” Apparently, they are irrelevant. Instead, we're supposed to believe the unverified account of GOP and Heritage Foundation operative Lyndsey Fifield

Platner has never denied who he is. Unlike most pols, he doesn't duck and weave and deflect. He was a oyster farmer and bought the company. As for his scandals? Who is being scandalized? Some blue-nosed church lady? Meanwhile, mainline Dems clutch their pearls and call for smelling salts.

Absolutely. The more they smear him, the more desperate they seem. And the more he sticks to the issues, they less they can go toe to toe with him.

Bibliophile01 @bibliophile01.bsky.social · 05/06/2026
Lyndsey Fifield was the Social Media Manager for the Heritage Foundation and co-founded Ladies for Kavanaugh. She also works for an anti-feminist organization pushing to ban trans kids from school sports. I mean, she wouldn't distort Platner’s behavior to torpedo his candidacy, would she?

Bibliophile01 @bibliophile01.bsky.social · 05/06/2026
Platner is a sui generis candidate. An old school, working class veteran. He is building a movement in Maine because of his honesty and candor. Because he is of the people and understands their struggle. He's the most formidable opponent Susan Collins has ever faced. So, the knives are out.
