Okay, he didn't say that. It just felt like that in my head. But seriously, another one. BRING IT ON! I'm excited to read it. This author has been so kind and fun to interact with. I've read 5 of his books already and I'm definitely a fan.

100

I even hear he's coming out with another one soon. Go to his page if you want further information on it. I'm so excited. Just when I was worried about catching up on all his books. A favorite author of mine decides to shout "surprise, I'm making another book just for you."

Took a shower tonight and I'm still working on that laundry folding. I've been procrastinating the laundry in favor of human conversations online.

Fireworks were more fun as a kid. Never enjoyed the booming sounds but I liked how big they were and the colors. Unfortunately as an adult I don't typically want to go to bed too late. I'll only stay up for books or food. Sometimes not even the food. Our dog is freaking out. She is so scared.

I'm disappointed but I've chosen to stay. I have a few friends here. This is me telling Bluesky to do better though. Take reports seriously. Don't compare folks to rodents. It's icky behavior. You are dealing with so many consequences, rightfully earned.

000

I'm also distressed that while on Threads earlier the Social Media Manager for Bluesky decided to call folks guinea pigs. Not in a cute way. Insulting the users that they're trying to convert to this platform. Which apparently allows harassment according to others. Though I personally haven't see it

Read a quick passage from Power Of The Wouivre: Revolution by Emma Hine It's book two. Power Of The Wouivre: Fiorenza was book one, which I enjoyed tremendously. So I am looking forward to book two. 📚💙 www.threads.com/@emmahineaut...

Anyone else have a passage in their book that’s not even the main theme of the book but epitomises the main character so much you just have to read out loud? Mine is this 👇

I quit. So I just uploaded to my other usual places. Oh, and I will be sharing the IG review to Threads as well as Bluesky. Maybe I should grab the links from Goodreads to there instead but that's typically more difficult.

💙📚 Reviews for The Tenant by Odella Howe are up on Goodreads, Storygraph, Upscrolled, & IG (as of 7am). Gotta do Amazon still. They've been difficult lately. They didn't upload my last review for a Netgalley ARC (it was Sing The Night by Megan Jauregui Eccles) after 4 tries.

Yes, it's better to block someone who doesn't wish to see multiple perspectives. I'm glad that despite being non religious yourself you understand humans vary.

000

They are not good. I don't believe in using religion as a scapegoat for genocide or murder.

You misunderstand. Nobody is ever defending a nazi. Especially not me. What I'm saying is they aren't genuine Christians because they do acts of cruelty & are a bunch of murderers. Also, like I said about corrupt people...no sane person or honest Christian genuinely celebrated that piece of sh*t.

100

There's no denying that. Not every church but unfortunately quite a few.

000

Might offend folks with this take but- Nazis aren't really Christians. They might've been at some point but then corruption ruins that. I personally don't attend a church. I'm a pray & read from home sort. The Bible did talk about prayer in private and in our hearts. Churches can be corrupt too.

200

Agreed. But they had issues before their support of that awful man already.

I don't understand how people could be so brainwashed. Unfortunately, history has done this before.

Indeed. It's disgusting to see the worship of a false prophets. A golden calf statue. Idolatry. Celebrities and politicians are not our salvation. They are examples of human greed. Maybe not everybody because I don't know what everybody holds in their hearts. But that man is a red flag city.

Agreed. It has to be something held in your heart with kindness towards those who believe in different things and patience. It's not a scapegoat for cruelty.

000

You have the right to believe as you wish about religion even if I don't agree.

000

The pattern is false prophets & golden calf. People using religion as a scapegoat for abhorrent behavior. Those individuals give caring individuals like my grandparents a bad reputation as well as the religion as a whole. I respect your decision to reject something so cruel as these organizations.

210

Hate groups do not represent the entire group as a whole. In any setting. Religious or otherwise. If one piece of yarn exists among a thousand knitting needles, that doesn't mean no yarn exists. It means you're only seeing the knitting needles.

020

This is an unfortunate thought. I will point out that Christian Nationalists or Crusaders do not represent every person in the religion. At least they totally shouldn't. You can be a Christian without being a Nazi (F*ck all Fascists & bigotry) and without being racist scum.

210

It definitely has a lot of darkness in it. But the important thing is that there is also light. You cannot understand the light without darkness. You cannot feel hope without feeling sorrow.

000

Also I beg your pardon fact that there are typos probably

000

I'm actually grateful to have conversations with another person who believes differently. It allows me to be more empathetic and understand other people's perspectives. Which is quite frankly what we should all be doing. Trying to understand one another as human beings.

Freedom of religion means that people don't have to believe what I believe. Sometimes I wish that they did understand but too many bad characters out there using it as an excuse for cruelty exist. Which is why I totally understand why people don't like it.

...government doesn't understand. This country has freedom of religion. They constantly think that this country was founded upon Christianity but it wasn't. Protestants were escaping religious persecution from other big sectors or Christianity.

100

Oh, you mean the Romans. Or- Because yeah it gets brutal. I'm doing a read through in chronological order. A bit of a full reread. My grandmother is too. Admittedly, yes it isn't all rainbows. But there are important messages. You don't have to read a read it. That's something that the US

If you're wondering on what book review I'm currently working on writing up, it's The Tenant by Odella Howe. Currently Reading... Infernal Skies: The Reckoning Legacies by Luis A. Cintrón Kemp Which will be reviewed as well. #booksky

I also loving writing fiction. So that's probably on the rather humanities side of things.

I'm just not great with technology. I love science. I'm into medicine, biology, and chemistry.

I do find I comprehend better with paper but read faster with ebook.
