Agreed, but I worry that they'll rush him back when he's not ready and he's eager enough to play that he'll put him at greater risk.

BGObsession @bgobsession.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Not sure this is a good decision. Rushing Jayden back because Mariota got hurt seems shortsighted especially with an injured and bad oline.

BGObsession @bgobsession.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Two things can be true. Colts were the better team and deserved to win. Congrats to them. Refs need to be investigated. That was crooked as hell.

Over on BGO, there's been pretty wide discontent over the lack of trades and wire waiver signings to shore up the o line even though Alegretti returned to practice today. Join the conversation www.bgobsession.com

Earlier in the offseason, when Washington fans were desperate for a 2nd receiver our prospects whittled down to Aiyuk, Diggs and Keenan Allen. Aiyuk eventually scared everyone off with his social media antics, Allen seemed not interested, and we signed Diggs. Looks like we dodged one.

The game doesn't matter. Almost no one played who matters. Yet losing that badly just puts a bad taste in your mouth. Makes you feel negative. To those, like me, who stayed the entire game all I can say is you deserve better.

I really love rooting for the underdog, Cinderella, the fringe guy, the bubble guy trying to make it onto a roster. C'mon! Give me someone to root for! I want to say #HailYeah at least once. This is more hell than #Raisehail.

There's a wave of defeatism infecting Commanders' nation. I get it. We've had almost forty years of let downs, but we must not give in before the season even starts. Stop doomscrolling. Stop listening to podcasts. Play catch and small the pig leather. #Hailyeah

Final #Commanders takeaways from 17-13 loss to Lions: - Starting defense was encouraging - Starting offensive line not so much - Kaliakmanis looks like QB3 - Defensive line is deep - Quan Martin keeps making plays - If they keep 5 ILBs, Ale Kaho is making his case

193

Yeah. Sigh. TBH, I was always scared about the center position, but the injuries have made it so much worse. Also, hope Connerly can get his act together. Again, hard to know from the TV, but I hard he also had a bumpy day.

021

Yeah, but I'm not sure how much. From what I heard (Watching the game on the TV you can't really see line play) Goods-Jones got blown up on every single snap of that first drive. I don't think Allegretti is great, but he's been an NFL starter.

120

Game thoughts. O line needs help. The Greek helped his stock in the race for the number 3 QB. Henry's stock may have slid, but it's really hard to run successfully with run blocking like that. Defense was pretty good. Overall, Detroit was better. Not sure that matters in a preseason game.

131

1st Half thoughts Relatively pleased with the D. Some work needed on run D. Relatively displeased with O. O line woes look real.

010

BGObsession @bgobsession.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

According to Ian Rappaport and others, Jayden Daniels will play against the Lions today. I know this is a controversial decision, but (knocking on wood) I think it's the right one. #HailYeah #RaiseHail

It's funny. I was more amped for the practice than I am for the preseason game. From a price point POV it's even funnier as practices are free and preseason games are full price. That said #HailYeah! and #RaiseHail

010

BGObsession @bgobsession.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Agree. We are in a new world with NIL so maybe stuff like this will become more common, but especially with the size of college rosters, you really can't afford to retire numbers.

Something about this response makes me wonder if the decision was made by his management team and he wasn't involved. Too much benefit of the doubt?

Injury bug rears its ugly head, the plan for the OL, and Preseason approaches!

Yeah. The one thing to keep in mind is when Coleman replaced Tunsil after injuries for the last three games of 2025, he gave up 0 sacks and only 2 pressures. It's possible he really is good.

100

Wylie is now probably the primary backup for any injury at guard or tackle. He's a good player to have in reserve for spot starting duty. I expect we will be looking to add.

010

Nicki Jhabavala confirms that the plan right now at left tackle is to give Brandon Coleman a shot. Coleman was actually very solid for a rookie with limited LT experience in 2024. Time to #RaiseHail Brandon.
