Mj6.4 earthquake off the West of Noto Peninsula. Shindo 5- in Shika town. Epicenter is south of the Mj6.9 2007 Noto earthquake, which itself was at the W end of this year's Mw7.5

Capping off a very successful campaign for the TEMARI project with a visit of the Kanazawa Castle 🏯. Observations and luminescence samples (good and sketchy) aplenty 🪨. We will confirm/update terrace chronology and improve numerical models for marine terraces 🌊⛰️

Extreme flooding and seismology! The possible outburst flood that hit the Khumbu region of Nepal today was recorded by the Pyramid seismic station at Mt. Everest, about 21 km away. This type of record is so useful for understanding these events. ⚒️
