Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 05/10/2026“Rebel Rouser” is an all time classic instrumental guitar song. Duane Eddy and his Twangy Guitar! 010
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Kashmir or Trampled Under Foot when I’m in the mood for some kick-a$$ Led Zep. The beautiful Bron-Yr-Aur when I’m feeling more acoustic and reflective. 080
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Agree with you wholeheartedly. I got The Who By Numbers the day it was released, in a record store in West Philadelphia. A very underrated, excellent album from first cut to last! Still play it regularly 51 years later. 001
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Lindsey is the most underrated guitarist. He is rarely mentioned with the greats but he is one of the greats. I have seen him live with FM, solo, and on tour with the late Christine McVie. I love a bunch of his songs, but when he wails on Go Your Own Way it gets me playing my air guitar every time! 010
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Scarlet Rivera on violin, Emmylou Harris on backing vocals, and some of his most stellar songwriting; going with one of my favorite Dylan albums - and the one I listen to most often in 2026 - Desire. 010
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Super broad range as an actor. Could play humorously sleazy (The Fortune Cookie), funny (The Odd Couple), dramatic (Charley Varrick) or (I don’t want to give too much away) funny and then suddenly not that funny (one of my all time faves, the underrated Charade). One of a kind. 1271
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Not sure who influenced others, but as far as who I listened to most over the years, I’ll go with Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, Carly Simon, Grace Slick, and the combo of Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie. 091
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Stones : Sticky Fingers. Pink Floyd : Wish You Were Here. Allman Brothers : At Fillmore East. Yes : Fragile. 020
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Stevie was on a streak of great albums from 1972 on with Music of My Mind, Talking Book, Innervisions, and Fullfillingness’ First Finale, but Songs in the Key of Life topped them all. Happy 50th birthday to a timeless sprawling masterpiece of an album. 010
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 26/09/2026How about Pink Floyd’s Animals album in its entirety - Pigs on the Wing Pt.1, Dogs, Pigs (Three Different Ones), Sheep, Pigs on the Wing Pt. 2. Coming after Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here, and before The Wall, Animals often gets overlooked in my opinion. 1101
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Great album. Neck and neck with the self-titled “The Band” album as their best. 020
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Long Long Time by Linda Ronstadt. The emotion in Linda’s voice gets me every time. 020
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 24/09/2026The Eagles got a little slicker with each album. This one is my least favorite. Love their early Bernie Leadon country-tinged albums the most. 010
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Agreed that Buffalo Springfield Again is their most consistent album, but their self-titled debut, with the Stephen Stills classic “For What It’s Worth”, is a great one as well. “There’s something happening here, what it is ain’t exactly clear….” 010
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Great debut album. I have seen Carlos on many occasions, most recently this April in Fort Lauderdale. Even at age 79, he still puts on a great show. Carlos is a totally unique guitarist, listen for three notes and you know who is playing, no mistaking him for anyone else. A master of his instrument. 010
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Great tune featuring recently departed jazz legend Sonny Rollins on tenor sax. 001
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I talked my friend Scott into driving 330 miles from Hollywood FL, where we had graduated high school, to Jacksonville in August 1975 to see the Rolling Stones. My thinking was that the Beatles had ended 5 years earlier, so we had to see the Stones now as they wouldn‘t be around much longer! 040
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Love this album. My introduction to Pat Metheny. Bought it in ‘81 largely because I loved the title and the album cover. I have been a huge Pat fan ever since. 010
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 17/09/2026How about Santana’s 1999 album Supernatural? Following 15 or so years of lackluster sales, Santana, thanks in part to the monster single “Smooth”, sold 30 million copies of Supernatural, and won a bunch of Grammies. In my mind the quintessential comeback album. 090
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 15/09/2026So many possible answers, but my choice has to be a Stones album. My favorite…for today at least…is Sticky Fingers. Brown Sugar, Can’t You Hear Me Knocking, Bitch, Wild Horses, Moonlight Mile, and the supremely underrated shoulda been a hit - Dead Flowers. Great album! 050
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I join you on never having listened to Foxtrot…but Animals? You have to give Animals a shot! 250
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 14/09/2026You can replace the battery and keep the red light pulse going! Mine is still going strong after three decades! 020
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 12/09/2026As a fellow Hitchcock enthusiast I appreciate your passion In making this list. Always fun to compare rankings. Obviously very subjective, but….North by Northwest at #14? Ouch! 130
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Wish You Were Here is an album that truly needs to be played in its entirety but the epic “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” that both begins and ends the album is my fave. 060
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Wish You Were Here is an album that truly needs to be played in its entirety, but the epic “Shine on You Crazy Diamond“ that both begins and ends the album is my fave. 150
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Some of my faves: San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Some Flowers in Your Hair) - Scott McKenzie; Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) - Edison Lighthouse; Classical Gas - Mason Williams; It Never Rains in Southern California - Albert Hammond; Do You Know What I Mean - Lee Michaels. 050
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 10/09/20261. Blazing Saddles 2. The Producers 3. Young Frankenstein 000
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 08/09/2026”Drive” perfectly displays his ability to convey the emotions of the lyrics through his vocals. 000
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 08/09/2026One of my all time faves. Close to the Edge, And You And I, and Siberian Khatru are all great songs but it’s an album that really should be listened to front to back. If someone denigrates “prog rock”, ask them to give this one a spin! It’ll open up their mind to the entire concept! 000
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 08/09/2026I have two Stones album openers that immediately come to mind for this question. Goats Head Soup is an underrated entry in the Stones discography, but I always skip the boring slog that is “Dancing with Mr. D“. And I like the rest of Some Girls, but can do without the disco-ish opener “Miss You”. 031
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Definitely The Outlaws debut album, with There Goes Another Love Song and Green Grass and High Tides. Saw them first in ‘78 and most recently in ‘23 with Henry Paul the only original member remaining. Always a premier multi-guitar live band. 030
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 06/09/2026I don’t have a dog in the fight, but it sure looked like the clock hit 0:00 as the previous play ended. 000
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 05/09/2026“I seen so many things I ain’t never seen before. Don’t know what it is, I don’t wanna see no more!” Mama Told Me Not to Come 030
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Come Dancing, one of their last big hits, is a great tune and a highlight of the album. 120
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 04/09/2026The Who’s Live at Leeds is one of my top 10 favorite live albums of all time, but Allman Brothers at Fillmore East is #1 on that same list, so I’m going with the Allmans on this one! 040
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Agree with several others here. The title track “Future Games” and “Sands of Time” are the only two songs I still regularly play from this album, and not coincidentally, the only two songs from the album to make the recently released and excellent “Best of Fleetwood Mac 1969-1974” collection. 000
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Love Cary Grant, mostly because I love Alfred Hitchcock, and Grant’s performances in Suspicion, Notorious, To Catch a Thief and (my personal favorite) North by Northwest helped make those movies great. Never knew he died at 82 performing in Davenport Iowa but I guess show biz was in his blood. 000
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 01/09/2026ELP had lots of great songs, today I’ll go with “Jerusalem“ from the Brain Salad Surgery album. I saw Carl Palmer twice in concert recently, he still puts on a great “ELP” show even after the premature deaths of Keith Emerson and Greg Lake. Inspiring me to play some ELP now, always a fun listen. 000
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Super underrated album. Coming after the 1968 to 1972 streak of Beggars Banquet, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street, some were disappointed in 1973’s Goats Head Soup. Not me. I continue to listen to it regularly 50+ years later. 130
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Roger Dean’s great artwork graced the memorable album covers for Yes albums Fragile, Close to the Edge, Yesterdays, Yessongs, Tales from Topographic Oceans and Relayer. 020
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Double Indemnity, Rear Window, To Kill a Mockingbird among many other great movies represented in this shot. 000
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Metamorphosis collected a lot of unreleased songs and rare alternate takes. Out of Time, Memo from Turner and I Don’t Know Why are among the highlights. Fun album. 000
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Old rich guy dies, leaving a large house full of stuff including a sled behind. 000
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Sorry, I need at least three albums to adequately introduce someone to progressive rock. I’m going with Yes’s Close to the Edge, Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here, and Tull’s Thick as a Brick. Then on to King Crimson and ELP! I envy someone listening to all of these classics for the first time! 010
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Hard to top the Stones’ classic Let it Bleed - starting with Gimme Shelter, closing with You Can‘t Always Get What You Want! 070
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Could play the “bad guy“ in Key Largo and the “good guy” in Double Indemnity equally convincingly. A scene stealer of the highest magnitude - hard to take your eyes off of him. A great actor. 000
Bflobob @bflobob.bsky.social · 25/08/2026In all modesty, I‘d probably have to vote for myself. Then Dylan. 010
